Bible Questions?

The Bible is important to some people in this thread. Your view is that the Bible is full of shit, but those that don't see it in that way come here to discuss the Bible.

Your view is your own and no one can stop you from it, but the same can be said about us.

I am just saying that it is better to leave people to their own view and allow them to have their own space. Wrong or not wrong, it's important to us.

There is a Christianity forum where you can discuss the fallibility of the Bible, but the sanctuary is a forum for those that believe that it is valid.

That is where the demons came from, just before the flood some angels forsook their rightful place in heaven and used materialized bodies to have sex the daughters of man. The demons are those angels and God no longer allows them to materialize fleshly bodies.

I merely quoted what Jesus said, I can't help it if you disagree with Jesus.

 

I believe Jesus comes to us in our sin and helps us to strive for the kingdom. This verse basically says that we must do everything we can to reach him and who knows if we've done enough. Maybe you could help me understand it better.

How is striving to fit through the narrow gate by ourselves not trying to earn salvation and how does grace play a part?

 

Jesus said; “Exert yourselves vigorously" and that is what I try to do, if that is considered by you to be "earning" salvation, then fine I'm "earning" salvation but to me I'm just doing what Jesus said to do.

I don't know what else to say, if Jesus said to do something shouldn't you do it?

This is the quote:
“Lord, are those who are being saved few?” He said to them: “Exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door, because many, I tell YOU, will seek to get in but will not be able . . . (Luke 13:23-24)

Jesus is being asked about salvation. Jesus says about salvation you need to exert yourselves vigorously. Jesus even says that some will seek to get in but will not be able to, which seems to be saying that salvation may not be easily obtained.

 

The point, Rudenoodle is she came to a Christian believer's board, not to learn about the faith or provide any positive feedback to the thread, but to be insultive. For that, why did she come here in the first place if not to try and cause problems and disrupt the conversation? She is a troll. End of story.
