The point is that this activity abrogates the need for a judiciary.

My reply was off the the cuff and so let me research this some more. Although, of course, my first thoughts about it would not be to use it to point toward the reality of a Purgatory. ;)

I think that is fairly safe to say because we have diametrically opposing views on the metaphysical reality of the human condition (i.e. the reality of the eternal soul).

If you feel like tackling two birds with one stone (or more properly, two birds at once), I am curious what you take is on the concept of humanity being made in God's image. One of the things that I think I have read or have been taught is that this points to is the soul, created immaterial and spiritual by God. In fact, the Catechism states that the soul is "the innermost aspect of humans, that which is of greatest value in them, that by which they are most especially in God's image: [it] signifies the spiritual principle in humans." CCC 363.

To settle our accounts is to come to terms with our own accounting. This is your account, not Gods'. We must suffer the purgatory of accusation and deprivation, the settling of our own verdicts, before God will render His. Which is,
God created man and saw that it was very good.

So we do not ask God for forgiveness, but forgive ourselves?

The mechanism is forgive us our debt as we forgive our debtors. The debt that you pay is the one you had demanded from your brother, by virtue of your accusation against your brother. Thou shall not bear false witness against him.
    Fulfill the law.

In Aramaic (I realize the Gospels were not written in Aramaic) debts, and trespasses carry the connotation of "sin".

Are you postulating that when we forgive sins committed against us, then it is an automatic forgiveness from God---or does forgiveness of other merely the first step to reconciliation with Our Father?

Were Adam and Eve created at the same time?

    Eve was created after Adam.

I am postulating that God is not mistaken in his creations, that God did not create any thing that requires an apology. Mans sins are not against God, they are against his brother. Brothers kill brothers not God. Love first God and your brother like him.

First, nothing in the bible is about individuals but the common experiences of men. It is not flesh and blood with which we contend but principalities and powers. These are the hierarchical perceptions of men. This man is good, that man is bad, he is higher, that one is lower, that everyone one is contending and looking for proper authority.
If you notice in the bible there are several points of departure. In Genesis there are two distinct creation stories, one you could call Gods' take, and the next is mans. God saw that man needed a companion and caused him to fall asleep. This actually means that man started to dream that he was alone and fell asleep to the reality he was in. You notice the story does not mention him waking up. In Gods' take, man was created together with woman and they were of like kind.
At any rate it is from this state of sleep, the dream of separation that a new kind of man, subservient temptress woman emerges and here begins the battle for control, or the search for proper authority. Much of the remaining old testament deals with the development of cultural standards , judiciary, sciences, and art sprinkled throughout with confrontations of authority. Geno-logic records help apportion inheritances, responsibilities, areas of influence, divisions of property and the like. We see in Leviticus for example, developments in hygienic practice. There is a metaphoric description of the human sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems in the story of Cain and Able. All through are prophets or men who have woken up enough to see that many things have been forgotten and warn of the peril that this entails. None of this is other worldly stuff. There are remaining points of departure, the gospels, acts, and revelations. I cannot comment specifically on King James. If I did not address your question specifically, I hope this can help with the general line of questioning.

While many sins are in fact direct sins against brother and sister, and all others are implicitly against them (for sin weakens the Church body which includes everyone), all sins are also against God as well.

When we consciously violate god's Law, we reject the grace received at our baptism. We cut ourselves off from God. Reconciliation with God is one step to full forgiveness, reconciliation to the community (through the Sacrament of Penance/Confession) is the other step.

    Yes. I sin.

Sometimes I choose to do the wrong thing. Adam and Eve also did. King David did.

I strive for holiness, but fall short. I know God loves me, and feel lucky that he has instituted a mechanism and Sacrament for us to be forgiven when we do.

Striving for holiness and falling short are not the same as consciously going against God. Sin means to miss the sign, to miss perceive. Do not judge by appearances, but rather use right judgment.

But in Genesis 1:27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth

It would appear that in Genesis 1:27 god created man and woman atthe same time, but then in Genesis 2:22 he recreates Eve again, what gives?

2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

    2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man

It is exactly stated and as I have pointed out. Woman is a different kind of man, in effect, a lesser man. Male, Female, is the same man. Sexual dimorphism is a reproductive strategy of the species, and has not a lot to do with the identity of man as an individual of the species. It has a lot to do with self identification, which is also in its' measure a social currency. We are very sure in our identifications of other animals, but we seem to be quite uncertain of our own. A deep sleep has occurred and man has not woken up
