It doesn't take faith, the Bible just says you can't be a Christian if you continue to engage in homosexual acts. If you don't want to be a Christian, I don't know what the problem is.

That would imply a fear or hatred of homosexuals and Christians neither fear or hate homosexuals. A person that at one time committed homosexual acts can become a Christian if stops committing homosexual acts. Simple as that.

It's just that....... young Christians (those that are new to Christianity) have a hard time separating the sins from the sinner.

Yes, it's a sin to commit homosexuality in the bible. No, it's not the unforgivable sin. And yes, beyond witnessing (making sure you understand that it's a sin) it's none of our business.

I once lived in North Hollywood for about three years. You couldn't find another straight guy for blocks around me.

During that time, I never once locked my doors, had a problem with a neighbor, went without when I was sick or spent a holiday alone.

They all knew I was a Christian, and I knew they were gay. I still despised the sins. But I loved those men. In my life I've never met a more respectful, intelligent and honorable group of people.

In the case of "despising" what you see as sin, you realize you are actually despising a huge part of there life and who they are not just an intangible concept such as sin right?

I can separate the sin from the action. If my brother murdered someone, I would still love him. It would break my heart, and I would despise what he did.
