    Yes and no,

I think it was more along the lines of the severe reaction he had to the AstraZeneca vaccine which really put the whammy on his head

What world are they living in?

GOP Maine Lawmaker Who Dismissed Vaccines and Masks Appears to Have COVID Along With Wife

State Rep. Chris A. Johansen, a Republican lawmaker in the Maine House of Representatives, and his wife have reportedly contracted COVID-19. Johansen has, in the past, dismissed the severity of the ongoing pandemic and joined other Maine Republicans in flouting mask rules.

Johansen was apparently cagey about his condition when contacted by the local Portland Press Herald, saying only that "he wasn't feeling well" and hanging up before he could be pressed for an elaboration. But Crash Barry, a writer for the left-leaning news outlet Mainer, tweeted a snippet of a phone call with a man sounding like Johansen saying, "Listen up, I've got COVID and I'm really, really sick and I just don't have time to talk to you today."

The GOP lawmaker's wife, Cindy Johansen, confirmed her COVID-19 diagnosis. In the post, she claims to have passed out in her garage and that her "legs were like rubber" at one point. She is considered to be at higher risk for hospitalization with COVID due to her asthma.

Both Johansen and his wife have in the past shared social media posts dismissing the ongoing pandemic and mocking vaccines,

American Airlines passenger who refused to wear a mask screamed for 10 minutes during her arrest

The flight was preparing to leave Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans for Dallas but was delayed for up to an hour due to the mask incident, according to the report.

American Airlines spokesperson Derek Walls confirmed to Insider that the plane had to return to the gate after the passenger refused multiple requests to wear a mask.

After being removed, the woman could be heard screaming for approximately 10 minutes on the gangway, where she was held by deputies until the plane taxied again, according to the Nola report.

Note: Florida’s report on Friday states it logged only 78 more deaths this week. Yet the difference between the state report’s total statewide death toll of 38,670 and the 38,388 reported the week prior is 282.

Representatives for Florida’s Health Department and Gov. Ron DeSantis’ office did not return answers to emails and calls seeking explanation for the discrepancy in new fatalities.

It's Democrats, Biden admin's border policies spreading COVID: Devine

Cheery Dr. Anthony Fauci was on television again Sunday warning us “things are going to get worse” with COVID-19.

It’s the Delta variant of the virus that is to blame for putting us back in masks, the nation’s top infectious disease expert told ABC’s Jonathan Karl.

Fauci didn’t mention all the other Greek letters of the alphabet lining up to do us harm. There’s always something.

Like the Lambda variant which apparently comes from, guess where? South America. This one is said to be worse than all the other letters.

So why the hell is the southern border wide open? In the middle of a pandemic?

I thought these were your comments, I didn't know you were quoting Miranda Devine.
This appears to be old news that has been addressed.

Yes, but you didn't tell us that you were quoting the article.

In addition although the article is dated Aug. 1 it refers to incidents that occurred back in March and have been addressed without telling us that the incidents happened in March.
Were Hundreds of COVID-Positive Immigrants ‘Recklessly Released’ in Texas?
Her reporting of this latest Facebook posting about La Joya neglects to inform us that the immigrants in question were under quarantine, and not free to spread Covid around, the hotel they were at was contracted to hold them and was lax and that a security guard has been hired to enforce the quarantine.
Then it goes on to say the White House is struggling and backsliding in regards to Covid, when it fact all they are doing is following the science and adjusting policy in line with what is happening according to science.

Finally it seems to blame President Biden for the recent outbreaks in Texas when in reality it's becasue of the unvaccinated idiots in Texas. If all Texans were vaccinated it wouldn't matter how many Covid positive immigrants entered as no Texan would catch the disease.

I should have said you have an extremely small chance of contracting Covid if you are vaccinated and if you do contract it a very small chance of becoming seriously ill.
Two doses of the polio vaccine are only 90% percent effective and since everyone was inoculated it has been virtually eradicated. So yes, good to know, now if everyone would just get vaccinated.

Pfizer drug breach ends in biggest US crime fine

    Old article ^^^ people remember

    Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: July 16, 2021

Once this is completed I believe more people with get vaccinated

    • Today, as Pfizer has announcedExternal Link Disclaimer, the FDA has formally accepted the company’s Biologics License Application (BLA) requesting licensure (approval) of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 in individuals 16 years of age and older and has granted the application priority review. Currently, the vaccine is authorized for emergency use to prevent COVID-19 in individuals ages 12 and older. The Prescription Drug User Fee (PDUFA) Goal Date of January 2022 reflects the PDUFA deadline for Priority Review and does not mean approval will not happen before that time. Quite to the contrary, the review of this BLA has been ongoing, is among the highest priorities of the agency, and the agency intends to complete the review far in advance of the PDUFA Goal Date.

    Speaking of Texas

Texas surpasses New York in coronavirus deaths

The Houston Chronicle reported. Texas surpassed New York and achieved the unsavory accomplishment on Wednesday, hitting 53,275 deaths, a feat experts attribute to a failure to control the virus. “It seems that many of the Texas policies were put in place to try and prevent health care collapse rather than trying to prevent transmission,” said Spencer Fox, the associate director of the University of Texas COVID-19 Modeling Consortium. Fox added that he was surprised Texas did not surpass New York sooner, as Texas failed to get its positivity rate under control. New York was epicenter in the U.S. in the spring of 2020, with the state at one point leading in coronavirus deaths nationwide.

During every pandemic there are small groups and clusters of people who don't fit the usual pattern of infectivity

Idaho Sees Surge in Covid-19 Infections in Babies and Toddlers

Idaho is suffering a surge in Covid-19 infections among babies and toddlers, prompting an urgent call for un-vaccinated adults to get jabs and “cocoon these kids.”

The current pace is 53 per 100,000 children from newborn to age 4, up from 16 per 100,000 two weeks ago, Kathryn Turner, deputy state epidemiologist at the Idaho Division of Public Health, said during an online briefing Tuesday.

The most likely cause is circulation of the delta variant, Turner said.

“Our zero to 11 year olds are the most vulnerable population now,” Turner said. “There is no vaccine that is authorized for these kiddos. So it’s really incumbent upon the adults in their lives, and older teens, to be vaccinated and sort of cocoon these kids.”

“Does it worry me? It does,” she said.
