Why Don't I Like Will & Grace ?

Will & Grace falls into a general category of so-called comedy that I find offensive. The paradigm is set in New York City and the characters--who are supposed to be BFFs--pick on each other. Sometimes the pickings are petty humor. Sometimes the comments are out-and-out nasty attacks.
Examples of these shows include, but are not limited to, FRIENDS, Sex and the City, and SEINFELD. Those are the major ones that come to mind.
Will & Grace is particularly offensive to me because one of its major characters is an alcoholic, drug addicted woman who is married to an extremely wealthy man. The man (whom we never see) is morbidly obese. The woman picks on everyone including her maid and chauffeur as well as the woman for whom she supposedly works. The character is glamorized and her offensive comments are laughed at.
Clearly I don't have a taste for this.
