No Bueno

Muchos gringos intentan utilizar algunas expresiones de español en su lenguaje diario. Cuando el español no es la lengua materna, los hablantes a veces pueden traducir del inglés al español utilizando expresiones que no utilizan los hispanohablantes.
Uno de mis favoritos es el uso de la frase NO BUENO cuando el hablante quiere decir NO GOOD.

I am guilty of such creations. I used to refer to white people as pan blanco (white bread). Basura de la tierra was another invention for scum of the earth. And lest I forget the two pejorative terms
reina llameante and reina gritando for flaming queen and screaming queen, respectively. I made a lot of LatinX folks laugh when I said, "Esa perra me tiró debajo de la guagua," meaning That bitch threw me under the bus. This was made more humorous because the term chosen for bus was more Caribbean and less standard school Spanish. Clearly my hang-out roots are showing.

I've managed to do this in numerous languages. My acquisition occurred long before the invention of GOOGLE TRANSLATE. Trust and believe, Google doesn't score 100 on everything that it touches. Some languages are more accurate because they are alive and have context in the Internet world. Try using it for Yiddish or Latin and you'd be dead in the water in no time flat!

Still, I manage to make myself understood and isn't that the main thing?
