I am a laggard.
When did I first notice this? Hmm... I thought I was on the cutting edge when I got a pager while others were using cell phones. I had a bar phone when others used flip phones. I got a flip phone when others were using something that we now call androids. And I now have an android, but subscribed to what a loosely refer to as welfare cell service (I am sorry if the pejorative offends).
Two weeks ago, I bought a laptop. The previous one was from a company called Acer (never heard of it when I bought it). The current one is named Gram (at least it sounds metric in a European sort of way). Gram is a product of LG.
The greatest newest feature on this model is the touch screen option. I loathe it (not a big fan of having my fingerprints all over the place). It seems to shift the text all over the place and I can never get things back to the way they need to be... like with a simple RESET/DEFAULT button.
And what is up with copy and paste? I highlight what I want to paste, but when I hit the copy button, the highlighting disappears.
