Ilocano Tête-à-Tête (THE MEETING Revisited)

Tomorrow, I will have my face-to-face meeting with the Executive Director of my agency with a worker who has a proposal to be fired. Originally, we had scheduled the meeting with a Tagalog translator for him, but early on he had said that Ilocano is his native language, so a different translator was needed.
The meeting has been postponed twice!

The meeting took place and I had to discard over 75% of what I intended to say. It took over 15 minutes to get the translator set up and she was quite slow. I instructed the employee that he might be asked questions by the director. If they are Y or N questions, answer with a Y or with a N. If you don't know the answer, say you don't know. It is better to admit to not knowing something than to say something that isn't true.
The director said he would review everything and make his decision by COB (close-of-business) the next day. The next day came and went and there was no reply. Sometimes, no news is good news.
