I Hear Chinese Radio on My Phone

In my 100 year old house, my telephone connection seems to be crossed with Chinese radio.

I moved into this house in 2001 some time between xMas and the new year. I have a superstition that is of my own belief. I am of the opinion that any home ownership transaction that had occurred between 09/11/2001 and 12/31/2001 will include a certain level of haunting.

Now a normal person might say silly things like:
"I don't believe in ghosts," or
"Why that date range?", or
"That's dumb!"

Their points might be valid. However I live in a culture that has accepted the Gregorian calendar to mark dates and times. In this instance, I note the date of an horrific bombing in my country and end it with the date used to shout out the old year and ring/drink in the new year.

I have saged the house numerous times. I have not necessarily prayed or visualized that the spirits be removed. I pray that they find peace.

When I had household pets, I'd leave the door ajar so that they could come and go at will. Of course, this lends itself to allow other animals to enter at will as well. Smaller critters such as houseflies, grasshoppers, or even newts or not too bothersome. Feral cats, however, are another matter. I have had a few stains left on my carpet when some have entered in order to eat the cat food for my house pet.

For the most part, these animals' invasions are very few and far between. However, when I use my landline for calls, I can hear a Chinese dialogue (from the radio). They can't hear me. I have had the phone company (the one formerly known as Pacific Bell) out to fix it. They have claimed that filters were placed on the phone, but to no avail. Few people use their landlines anymore. I keep mine... Just in case. I have learned to live with the Chinese voices.
