"I have PERFECT credit!"

I have a former housemate who would alert me to that aspect of her life. Big deal. I have often gotten offers to make large purchases and to get credit offered to me that is interest free (the last time that happened was my purchase of four tires).
I always thought the qualifier of PERFECT was a bit over-the-top. I remember hearing it once in reference to a musician's having perfect pitch (as opposed to having relative pitch). The weird thing about the so-called perfect credit score is that the scores are tabulated by different company. Some get all the news about me and some parts of my financial life are left our. I can be perfect with one company and good with another.
I shrug at/about such things. But, then again, I also maintain ten different checking accounts that were opened up before the years when you had to provide the bank/credit union with a REAL home address. It's amazing how many people are shocked or surprised when I tell them that the bank doesn't have my home address or my home/cell phone number.
