How My Views Have Been Evolving.

Like I've said, I've always supported human rights. But my views of it started expanding and changing around 1988 when I was in the U of M Mardigian library and I read documents like the UN Declaration of Human Rights, the French Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen and the English Bill of Rights 1689. In 1994 I bought the book Utilitarianism: For and Against by J. J. C. Smart at the college book store. And for a while I thought I might be a utilitarian. I like its neutral stance on things like motive and judging people. And its emphasis on results. But I eventually found out and concluded it has some shortcomings itself. But like I read back then, it is good at things like planning legislation. Anything where you want to maximize the benefit of what you are doing.
