Got Towed

I went to visit a friend who lives in a gated community. I parked my car in a spot that didn't belong to any tenant. My car was towed. She went with me to the police impound, but the tow truck was all over the place (including at an accident). The process started at about 5:00 pm and didn't end until 10:30. We even went out for a plate of tacos at a nearby restaurant/bakery.
My friend is packing to leave the gated community. I have no idea where she will be going to. She had strongly hinted at moving in with me, but I had to put a hard stop to it.
"Why?" you might ask, "if it's a friend in need."
First of all, I prefer to live with folks of my own gender. I am *NOT* all-embracing in every aspect of my life. My home is my personal space. It is sacred and precious to me. It is actually not something that I care to share anymore. Been there! Done that!
When I was younger I needed financial assistance to keep things afloat. I provided a private space to housemates/tenants and also gave them shared community space (i.e., the kitchen, the bathroom, the back yard).
This particular friend--while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene--does not always fully understand the needs of an introvert. On my free time I do my own thing. Sometimes I watch television (alone), or I cruise the vast regions of F A C E B O O K, or I make plans to spend time with my friends, or I go to spiritual events.
She had suggested that 'WE' might go here or there together. One of her suggestions included visiting a former classmate of ours. The classmate was not particularly close with me (we'd say hello to one another, but we never worked on projects together and I don't think I ever broke bread with her). When this housemate wannabe mentioned an activity like this I went into a quiet, startled, panic! I saw the writing on the wall and followed the sage advice of my dearest friend, the Late Miss Linda, who used to say, "The first 'NO' is the best 'NO'!"
Here are my feelings and opinions set to song!
