cougars, bear, mule deer, raccoon, Opossum, gray fox, skunk abound..

now there's gray wolf packs E and Nnif mountain.. howl at night out there and lister for response..

I know cougars abound, as a mountain biker they can be pretty nasty. There is a great story about 4-5 women cyclists that were attacked by a cougar. The cougar had one of the women’s head in its mouth. The other women kept beating on the cougar eventually freeing their friend. One woman was trying to crush the cougars head with a large rock trying not to hurt her friend.They literally put one of their bikes on top of the mnt lion and stood on it until rangers arrived. I don’t remember where this happened, either Ca or Co.
