I'd do the same, but I don't feel like moving to the couch. If I toss and turn for hours, then moving to the couch usually knocks me out, for whatever reason. I just hate when it gets to that point. Still, sleep is always good.
Green Day is on VH1 Classic. I guess I'll have to get out my headphones. Green Day's negativity is a perfect fit for insomnia. Can't be positive at 3:30 in the morning.
What time did you finally end up going down? You must be exhausted today. What is with the insomnia? Did you take a late dose of adderal or something? I went to the couch shortly after I put down my Ipad and I fell asleep almost instantly. There must be some sort of negative energy or something going on in my bedroom or something right now, that is causing me to not be able to sleep in there. It's not like my husband and I are pissy with each other right now, either. I'm going to wash the sheets today and air the room out and do my best to finish organizing everything in there. When my man has been home, and playing his video games, I've been reading in my bedroom, sometimes for hours at a time. My goal has been to turn it into a reading nook of sorts, so I have a quiet place to go where I can focus on my book without the sound of his video game. Maybe this is actually a bad idea, because a bedroom should be all about sleep, and if I start associating it with reading....you get the idea...
I slept from 11 to 2:30, and from 4 to 7, which made me about an hour late getting to work. Not a big deal. My doctor says this problem is a normal part of aging for some people. I don't need quite as much sleep as I used to. The tough part is figuring out what to do with that block of time when nothing is going on, nothing but infomercials on TV, and feeling too groggy to do anything useful. Sometimes I'll get on here and find somebody online from some other time zone, usually the UK or Australia. And of course, it surprises the hell out of the spammers to find out that somebody is on duty to delete their porn links.
Bump I fell asleep around 10pm ( I felt exhausted all day), woke up at 1:30am and now I can't fall back asleep. I feel like I have jet lag. How annoying. I hope this doesn't fuck my sleep up for the week.
didn't notice this before. for the sake of efficiency, just figure I bumped this thread every night up to today and that I will bump it daily on into the foreseeable future. I never sleep well, too many body parts in pain.
Well this is a shitty start to my week. Should I take something to knock myself out, or lay in bed and hope sleep comes soon? It is 1am and my mind is going a mile a minute.
I sleep so much better when I don't drink. Of course I'm having trouble drifting off tonight, because I had a few drinks. I feel gross, and the sugar has me wired. Fuck alcohol.
So my roommate's best friend moved back in with us because he lost the rights to his apartment over a physical altercation, and he could be facing up to a year in jail if his court hearing doesn't go well. He's hating life right now and is terribly worried. Yet he still manages to get to sleep better than I do. What's the deal with that?
Sounds like my bf who crashed here the last few nights. I actually like ended up getting angry yesterday morning because it was 2:30am and I told her (nicely) many times to keep it down and could still hear the fucking party in my living room even though I had ear plugs in. I finally got pissed off after the fourth time I told them to keep it down, and went out there with a blanket wrapped around me and ripped into her. I don't like having to be a bitch to my friends in my own house, but at the same time, I shouldn't need to tell people to keep it down 4 fucking times. Sorry if this story doesn't read properly, but I've had some shitty scotch and my head is wobbly.
I sleep very minimum hours. 2-3 some days. I consider 4 hours pretty well. At least once a week I do crash usually just after weekends or on Sunday. 10+ hrs sleep. I don't know what it is, my body just doesn't shut down it always goes and goes. I've tried lots and were supplied different doses of sedatives and tranqs by Doctor, I use those to help knock me out for the 10hr sleep lol. Seems to be much worse if I don't smoke weed. I have much better sleeping patterns when smoking even if it is still minimal. And I can have a quick day nap, and I can also have microsleeps but I am aware when it happens so it's not like I'm driving or anything. After lots of eye surgery too my eyes get tired now, just a shame the body doesn't want to give in with them.
Just read my last post here and I realized I didn't finish my story. Anyway, after having to get angry at my friend before she took me seriously, she ended up passing out on my living room floor with the music still on. Her husband was on the couch with his leg on my coffee table, along with a few full drinks. Thankfully I saw that and removed them before disaster hit in the form of alcohol being spilled all over my living room. I'm quite sure they both had a better sleep than I did.
