You can get pregnant from anal sex?!

Can someone please help me with this. What are the chances of this happening? I thought it was safe to have anal sex and not get pregnant but now I am not so sure.

Yeah, this sounds like the "other" question: Can you get pregnant from oral sex? Last time I checked, neither the rectum nor the stomach are connected to the cervix. And for the dripping question, I believe sperm dies VERY quickly when on exposed skin and in the air. Unless you remove sperm from anus/rectum and insert it into the vagina quickly (turkey baster idea), there's almost no way you will get pregnant.

However, pregnancy should not be a main concern during anal sex; STD/STI's should be. Anal sex is considered very high risk for transmission of infections when unprotected, as much as unprotected vaginal sex. If you or your partner hasn't been tested for STD/STI, use a condom during anal sex! You don't want to infect others or be infected w/ something that doesn't have a cure (HIV, Hep, HPV, herpes) so why risk it unless you KNOW that both of you are clean? Plus, there would be no worries about dripping...
