Yoga, sent to us by the devil!

What the fuck? Now, I am a Christian Mystic. Which means I believe in God and Jesus, and I also meditate. According to Pat Robertson, yoga is evil. They trick you into reciting certain chants from hindu. And it's occult. It's the devil.

Then we got these other people talking about how.. oh of course yoga is evil because it can help with inducing OBE's and THATS EVIL...
What the hell.. what about Paul in Corinthians?

So was Paul part of the devil too? He was a Christian Mystic. What. The. Fuck. I'm pretty sure that most of yoga & meditation, and working with the pyschic mind, a large amount of the time depending on your beliefs, is finding a connection with God, hence...

Now maybe it's not the same for all but I know it is for those of us who are Christian Mystics.
I used to be in a lot of private schools, and I am in NO WAY against Christians at all, in any way shape or form, because I am one. But in my point of view, I think it's getting taken a little too far, because I remember the time my mom threw our microwave in the garbage and then told me that my white bread was "the devils bread" and our microwave was evil.

AUUGH!! NO WONDER everyone hates Christians and thinks we're insane, because it's getting to the point where nothing is good, everything is evil, and we're getting too freaking involved and too damn judgemental, there is no acceptance, to say that there is only one way to pray is ridiculous, it's ignorant, and maybe not EVERYONE has the same type of worship or prayer, but that doesn't matter, because everyones soul is different, and every person will react different, I am a Christian, I love God, I believe in God, and I love others, but I am soo tired of hearing more judgement, and less reaction.

We can send emails of federal crosses on memorials all we want, but it's not going to help if we're also ignoring how other people feel. It's not going to help if we can't even show what we really are, instead of hiding in civilizations, and telling everyone else that their religion is evil, that their beliefs are wrong, aren't going to help either, because that's not what anyone wants to believe, or what anyone wants to hear. You want people to believe? You're supposed to be the match in the darkness, you're supposed to show what you are, and how it's helped you, and people will follow that light, if it's meant for them, but their not going to react to "YOGA IS EVIL"...
COME ON!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!

 

God belongs to no religion.

You'll find God on your own, religion or not.

Too Far: (Adjective, or somm) : Like.. my mom throwing the microwave in the trash because it was from Satan. Or using religion for an excuse to get money, like TBN asking for money and donations pretty much every day or every other day, to help the poor little children. While they have a shitload of mansions, and jets. And their asking me for twenty dollars to help the child? Why dont they don't they use one of the billion dollars and help out the whole damn country? "we could barely supply enough food to feed these children.. and we couldn't buy anymore. Imma go get some caviar. Later"...
now I have a donation thing on my website for Village Banking, and that's fine with me, we raised over 300 dollars, and one mother was able to start a daycare with ten dollars instead of having to choose whether to feed her children, or send them to school. That would be in her words "The most money I ever had in my life"

That's fine with me, even though they have to pay village banking back, but it all rotates and more and more people can get what they need in order to help others. But I don't agree with saying yoga is from the devil either. I mean come on. That's just stupid. Maybe in the beginning it was a little different, but.. eh it's all in the top post.

 

You've got to love the spice in life. God at play. Nothing is worth getting worked up about. Watch the show and enjoy it.

 

Yoga's not evil to me, and I love Jesus. I`m not as close-minded as those religious extremists ( and there are islamic, buddist, christian, etc extremists ~ it's not all about the Christians). Get your Yoga on!

Lol FinnishButterfly I know EXACTLY what your talking about. Me and my friend were practicing guitar when we heard shouting in the living room. So we went out there and apparently his mother and his sister had gotten into some kind of heated argument on whether yoga was excerise or meditation, because if it was excerise then it was ok but if it was meditation then it was evil?

wtf? how is meditation evil. Seems like the christian leaders really really dont want people to wake up. telling ppl meditation is evil. give me a fucking break.

CBS news did a report on that evangelical guy i forgot his name, you should have seen his big ass mansion they showed that he lived in and how much money he has. how do the people that go to his church not see this?

Yes, meditation MUST be evil b/c it came from all those weird Eastern religions- those idol worshiping satanists. Although I believe meditation is also used in Christian practices as well- those evil monks! They're all going to hell!

Yoga, from the sanskrit, root word yuj, simply means to "yoke", or "harness" the mind, body and spirit.

Ole, Pat is a moron who doesn't know what he is talking about and condemns something that he has no clue, typical of fundamentalist, Christian right-wing idiots.

On the other hand, I firmly believe that good ole' boy Pat, and his bunch of "religious", right-wing Christian wacko nutjobs is the one that is evil.
