So I had a little under an hour to kill before meeting up with my girlfriend, so i stopped by a local park to smoke a joint. I roll one, walk out to this stream, blaze it and leave. I decide to roll a second since i had a few minutes. As I'm doing this, i notice something in the corner of my eye. As I look up, my gaze is met by a startled looking kid on a bike, who thought he knew me. he didn't. This left us in an awkward situation. After walking away, he came back, motioned for me to roll down my window, and asked if i wanted to smoke a joint. Though its risky, i enjoy smoking with random stoners I meet while I'm out, so i say sure. He hops in shotgun, I roll up, and we start walking to the stream. We're maybe 1/4 of the way there when this kid starts freaking out yelling. I turn around and am greeted by the sight of a cop SUV. This kid starts power walking away and then full on sprints into the bushes to dump nug. While I'm trying to slyly drop my J and get my other shit together to stash, i realize the cop can probably see this happening and decide to hold onto my nug until i could get out of view and get rid of it, while also praying he didn't call me over until i had a chance. All in all, it was alot of worry for nothing. Car paused a moment or two, and pulled out. i got out of there while the random biker stayed for a solo smoke...
First off, smoking in a public park is always dangerous. Cops cruise by parks all the time because they know people do drugs (pot and harder drugs) in parks, theyre just a natural meeting place. If you have to smoke in a park, never, ever do it at night. In most places, parks are closed after dark and cops use that as a pretense to search anyone they see in a park at night. It happened to me once when I was celebrating the end of the semester with a friend and a couple of cigars one night. Second, that kid was an idiot, if he hadn't freaked out, there would've been no problem at all.
I never go to parks at night, and i live in a "nice area" and parks are used less and less for drugs than other areas i've lived/toked. and yeah, he demonstrates one of the downsides to associating with random stoners...
