Just 2 of their album are essential ...95 "the Bends"...and 97 "ok computer"......the rest is too intellectual rock...too electrodisorder...and often depressing...i like a some depressing or dark artist...as Black rebel motorcycle club or Nick Drake etc...

But since Kid A...they loose something...it's like if Thom Yorke was always playin with the misery of the world in his deppressing voice...no i can't hear them...it's just annoy me...their songs lack of hope ...there's no sunshine anymore in their music.

NB: I still appreciate some of their last songs...but it's not enough...sorry but i'm more excited with the non-revolutionary Oasis

I like the Bends, but don't like most of OK Computer at all.....

I also like some of their later work like the super dark "pyramid song," its very atmospheric, and I love the slight arabian element.

I do think they are overrated, probably because not many other bands really get big in this day and age, so when one does, everybody worships them and annoy those who don't.

I listened to them proprerly for the first time yesterday while tripping and I was very impressed. I only listened to Kid A, I thought I was imagining most of the sounds, it was creepy! Everything in its right place, How to disappear completley and Idioteque seem to be the best tracks. What do you guys think of this album, is it one of their better ones?

I parted company with the whole Radiohead album back catalogue last year, can't say I miss 'em that much either, don't dislike 'em but they never really excited me either

yeah i really iked it.. wierd as fuk tho. everything in it's right place..i think brought a space for more of those kind of sounds to be more ...whassssscommon place..ou know what i mean? Its alsmost difficult to listen to i reckon becuase its so freaky.. theres no calm melodies on that one. no soft breaks or cadance changes into some etheral transition. I liked one of the songs on amnesiac so much but i forget which one now. it was jut such a relief! to hear that radiohead sound plunge into a better 'health' i think they sound ill if you get me. like they're dying really painfully. and all twisted and broken metal teeth rusting erghh. but briliant too. i think they do it on purpose though... its effective i'll give i that.

the bends sounds amaxinng. but ok computer is really definitve to me. karma police. written on my heart, imprinted on my brain with a scalding hiss at a party some time around 13. i don't know for how many more...years i can listen to it and say oh yesss! but it been 5 now and still gets me.
It was my faveoriate stuff when i was in teen angst tho. so their matruing is kind of wierd but nessercary, its just so bloody deppressing that they haven't yet bloomed into wailing affirmations..but i guess thats not theyre style it'll never happen..which is really clever of them i think. i bet they play happy tunnes in private with angelic chorals and 82 piece orchestra.. but we'll never get to hear them.
well radiohead definetly get into my head. and stick there buzzing around like a loose wire. it's good music it's clever manipulative stuff. makes me ccrrrrazeeeeeeeee

I find i cant conenct to their music. its not a 'feel' i enjoy that much, or think is good to listen to all the time. theyre good musicians and theres some awesome songs of theirs.. but it just doesnt pull at anything inside me. its like a strong emotion.. but not one that i connect to. people who do conenct to this emotion though just adore them soo much. and i can understand this. i like having it playing and stuff but i dont get their albums or listen to them unless therye in a playlist or someone else is listenin or i jsut decide to listen to various artists

(though really their main thing is that they dont follow much of a key in their songs. they do it very well, choosing the right majors and minors
