Would it annoy you if you lived with a roommate who..

Had 5-6 people over daily getting wasted? Keep in mind this roommate and his friends completely stay in his room leaving only to access the kitchen and bathroom. Oh, and you operate on completely different sleeping schedules so noise could be a factor.

 

I would get wasted with em! It would get annoying every day probably.

 

have you tried making brownies with poison in them and leaving them on the counter?

 

My old roommate use to have huuuuge parties while I'd be trying to sleep. I would have to wake up at 6 in the morning and she would be partying until 4 a.m. being loud and shit with her drunk friends. I ended up moving out..

You should talk to your roommate first though and see if you can figure something out.

I recommended 'He died with a felafel in his hand' and 'Tasmanian babes fiasco', both written by John Birmingham. The books are hilarious and they teach you all you need to know about flat sharing. In fact after reading them you might avoid flat sharing at all .

I'd be annoyed because I can't resist a party and really need to. But a filthy room mate who never goes out and talks to her mom all night and has two huge, loud cats and a litter bix in the bathroom is worse. No matter how much you live your best friend, tight quarters and resentment over your own social life is worse.

 

It would annoy me a bit. Eventually I'd probably grow used to sleeping with the noise.

If it resulted in noise which cost me precious sleep I would probably, no, definitely be annoyed and have words with them. If it was simply the fact that they were getting hammered every night, no. Truthfully, if I was in this situation now, I would probably invite them to the living room and get hammered with them.

You know, I have a particularly effective, though entirely passive aggressive method for breaking up unwanted parties: I force my unwanted self right into the middle of the party. Once, when a couple guys managed to work their way into the hotel room I was sharing with my sister in law and friends, the girls wanted them gone. But the guys were trying to sneak their way into the girls beds. They asked for my help. So I climbed onto the bed with guy who was trying to get with my hot sister in law and asked if he minded me sharing the bed with him. I didn't even have to flirt. Then I lay down on the other bed where the other guy was flirting with my friend. Those guys were outta there in five minutes.

I like that. with my old roomate, me and my ex used to stage these horrific arguments in which we would try to drag the others into it. it worked every time.

Once I shared the kitchen and the bathroom with one other person. My first flate mate was a reporter. She was interesting, but messy. Then I had a flat mate who used to listen to heavy metal music after math lectures. Very loud stuff. But I could deal with it, math lectures were only once a week . One flat mate from a country far far away stayed for two weeks. In that time he ruined the flat, polished his shoes with my tea towel and stole parts of my dishes. But being a good guy he left lots of rubbish in exchange for the dishes. He slipped away while I was on a weekend vacation. I shared the flat with a few people. Some were fun, some were neutral and very few were pure hell.

My old roomate would sleep with people for money, smoke meth in my bathroom, trash the house whenever i turned my back, get wasted everynight and get the cops called to my house all the time. she was loud, obnoxious, rude and unpleasent. always in my face about something. and i had to still live with her like 3 months after i told her i wanted her out, which should have been way sooner. so after that she hated me. she would turn the heat up to 100 degrees when i was sleeping and leave the house, she left the fridge door open, let all the food spoil, and then shut it. my god she was an evil bitch!!
