ok, we all know that working with food sucks, but if you are a server in a full service place the tips are reason enough to stick around. Most of your money goes untaxed. But tonight my job seriously tested me in every possible way. Hostesses are the scum of the earth. They act like their job is so hard, and if you ask them for the simplest thing they throw tantrums like small children. I hate hostesses. My job would be easier of the guests just sat themselves. So I am all pissed off and I am at home with no weed, no beer, nothing intoxicating. My only option is to vent to you guys.
ehh, i was a hostess for half a year before i was ever a waitress, so i am pretty nice to hostesses. it's a fucking thankless job. i don't mind waiting tables, i like talking to people. i have had those nights though. try yelling really loud.
Somewhere a hostess is bitching about the incompetent waitresses Oh ya pay your taxes the government needs the money
To the thread creator - I truly understand you and agree with you that restaurants do indeed suck. It's the business, it's a lame and stressful job. I told my boss last week I'm quiting and gave him my 2 weeks notice, he got it so bad. I regret going there and wasting my time, my shifts were shit! shit!!! Those bosses in the resto's think there all this and that and I know what you feel man, it's a lame job.
I was a waitress for maybe a month and a half in high school before I quit. The copious amounts of money I got wasn't even worth it. Everything about it sucked. And I worked in one of those dinner and a movie places, so I had to work in the dark too. I don't know how you people do it.
i've never heard of a place like that. is it like a normal restaurant with a movie screen on one wall or what? sounds like an interesting idea, if it's what i'm picturing anyway.
It was like a normal movie theater, only they had these bar kinda things in front of the seats, and some regular restaurant tables too. And I had to take orders and bring people their shit and all that in the dark. the idea is kind of cool, but it sucked working there.
that is pretty cool. i imagine there were a good number of spills too, with everyone eating in the dark while trying to watch tv..
