Woody Guthrie

I just picked up the Asch Recordings Vol. 1 and damn I love this guy. You can really see how much he influenced Dylan. Talking Fishing Blues sounds so much like I Shall Be Free. I'd really like to pick up more of his stuff. Also I'm interested in Happy Traum, anyone know any of his stuff?

i only heard one of his one best of albums, i need to check out more of his music. But i really like him so far.

 

ive only heard a lil woody (that doesnt sound right) but ive got two arlo cds... good stuff... i like 'talkin dust bowl blues'.

 

I've only heard one album of his, it was all childrens songs...

 

I haven't heard Woody Guthrie, but I LOVE Arlo! Maybe I should check in to some Woody Guthrie...... I'll go search now.

On "Runnin' Down The Road" (I think that's the title) many of Arlo's songs were written by his father. (Originally done by him)

 

I love Woody. His grandaughter Sara is pretty good too

 

Woody Guthrie just might be 1 of the most important artist of the 20th centrury, and one of the most overlooked.
