I was blown-away by the Woodstock movie. I can't quite put into words how beautiful it was. Anything i could say would be an understatement. Wow.
The woodstock movie was amazing ... Iam sad that I didnt live threw the 60s to exsperince it! I couldnt believe how many people were there and how chill most of them were. It was such a great movie.... I wish it was like that today Peace <3 Katy
i saw the movie in the summer of 1970 when it came out on the big screen ..i have it on vcr which i ordered from warner brothers back in 85 and now have the director's uncut version ........can't even guess how many times i have watched it
Yeah that movie rocked. Cant really call it a "movie" though, is more like a report and overview of the things that happened, like a DvD from a popular band, although this was way bigger and had a way bigger value, but I'm sure you can pretty much understand what I mean if I dont really call it a movie Damn this has to sound strange...
The 60s are NOW! Catch the wave of the NOW! and look around you, the spirit of peace and love is still in the air. Don't be a loser, be a winner You got to be PRESENT in the present moment to win the present of the now... BE HERE NOW! that's what the 60s were about, catch the spirit. It's here, baby! Wake up!
The movie was amazing. I wish I was alive then. Had I been I so would have been their. All in all an amazing movie!!!
my favourite parts (if its the dvd im thinking of) is all the first scenes, with "long time gone" and "going up the country", makes me so happy. thats it im getting off this computer and watching it.
Heh. My fsvorite is right before/during the time it's raining, I Feel Like I'm Fixing to Die, and The Who's performance.

How many versions of Woodstock films exist? I have seen the directors cut, but there must be much more film material.
my favourite moment was the night after the rain with arlo guthrie . crosby stills nash , and ten years after , and of couse country joe and the fish. It makes me wanna turn back the past..
I love that movie so much, all these beautiful people (Mealanie xD), and well it's so hard to describe, but It is my favorite movie, all cathegories. Makes me a bit sad thou. Have to face that that era is over, and I regret missing the festival (even trough it was 20 years befour I was born).
Dude, yes. Forgot the Ten Years After performance THE GUITAR IN THAT SONG literally makes my heart skip a beat. GREAT stuff.
OK, the woodstock movie changed me. that may sound really weird but i will tell you the story: School was cancelled due to a snowstorm so me and my aunt decided to go cross country skiing. She is really cool and shares a lot of similar intrests with me (now). She told me that She had The woodstock 69 vidio and that i could watch it if i wanted to. Well, ithought, OK. now, i was about 13 a the time and all into makeup and clothes and girly girl stuff. before i watchedthe movie, i said to myself, now i am not going to let this alter my veiw or the way i live my life. I made this pact with myself because all my childhood i was baisically raised to be a little hippie and at that age, i wanted to get away from it all. So i popped in the movie and after watching it (ALOT OF TIMES) I made this 180 degree turn with my life. I just hopped off the train and pretty much made woodstock my bible and the preformers my gods. I started to get more interested in the music I love today, The world it showed me seemed impossible, yet i knew that it was the way to live. Woodstock gave me the ambition to look deeper into many cultures and seemed to give me a confidence about where i was going and what my belifes were. I still watch the movie from time to time now, but i can honestly say that i know most of it by heart and do not feel the need to watch it. Plus, while it showed me agreat way of life, i also realised that i have to live for today, not in the past. Woodstock will never be relived but there are soo many festivals that can give todays youth what woodstock gave my parents generation
It's really a fantastic movie! The directors cut edition has more footage than the original (like almost an hour!). But it would be cool if they released the raw footage eh? By the way shine, keep repping the Floyd!
