Three years ago I discovered Hawaiian Baby Woodrose. It has opened up a new world to me and has helped me deal with a lot of personal demons. I am only 20 years old and have a long way to go as regards personal development and such.

However, what Woodrose has done for me is nothing short of incredible.

Nonetheless, I am still dealing with some issues (not sure if I might be gay for one) and worrying about whether the mystical experiences I've had on Woodrose were my imagination or not, because science denies anything 'mystical' can be real. However, on Woodrose I've had 'telepathic' experiences with my friends which gave my experiences a physical and not just psychological basis. And I've met other people who have said the same as regards telepathy on psychedelics and such.

But for months now I've been thinking, what if I could convince my father to trip with me? I would love to help him flush out some of his own demons. Since he's never done anything other than alcohol, I think it could be a positive life changing experience for him... and it would take our relationship back to its roots, before growing up caused a rift between us...

    What do you think?

He knows I've done Woodrose because my mother found my stash, labelled, in my room. They just don't know I still take them. They didn't react too badly after reading about Woodrose online, because it is not addictive, illegal or harmful.

I don't think he should do it unless he's ready for a proper psychedelic experience in general.

Psychedelics are very good for, as you say, "flushing out" demons, but LSA is a very physically difficult one, with body load/nausea/pain/discomfort/extreme tiredness and all sorts of other possibilities, and to some degree, it has a ceiling as to how much you can accomplish at once on it, I think, it can only go so deep.

Not knocking LSA, I recognise it is a legitimate psychedelic and it's great that it's helped you.

But I think maybe you, yourself, should play with mushrooms and/or LSD, and then speak to your dad about his opinions on the nature of psychedelic experiences, legality aside. I think you would have a potentially better time with LSD or mushrooms, and if he would be up for the long duration, LSD would be my suggestion, because lots of people have more body load and problems with that than on LSD.

Whatever you do be cautious, and make sure he really is interested and understands that progress can be painful until you've actually accomplished it, on psychedelics, all that good stuff. You might get a lot of bonding done just by the time you've got him prepared to dose.

Well the supposed bodily discomfort of LSA only bothered me about halfway through the period which I've taken it. No discomfort was present at all in the beginning, and there's none these days.

The problem is, I haven't even done LSD yet because I have no access to it - and I imagine convincing my father to take LSD would far, far exceed the difficulty it would take to get him to try Woodrose.

Although I would love to try LSD and imagine it would, indeed, probably be more beneficial a trip to help him.

Since I've never taken it before - you said Woorose has limits as to how much you can achieve? Have you tried both and realised this? Because if that is the case I'll try harder to find LSD.

I've taken a handful of psychedelics, including LSD and LSA.

In short, other than puking, LSA doesn't really have the potential for a bad trip. it just doesn't go that far. Not to say it is worthless, I plan to do it again some day, but I've only had experiences on par with one hit of acid, before taking enough I just couldn't stay awake. And then it's on par with a weak hit of acid, at best, and much shorter, and involves physical discomfort. A psychedelic experience can only be so powerful if it takes all your willpower to keep your eyes open.

And keep in mind that everyone has a different physical response to LSA, your dad could have horrible cramps and projectile vomiting, after you assure him it's not like that. With LSD, you pretty much know it won't be like that.

It is, of course, hard to get. You can grow your own mushrooms though, there's a section here which I think has some how-to's, and for a fully dedicated forum, there's the shroomery. They have some body load compared to LSD, but I can't really comment, I've never had a very decent dose of them.

There's also a lot of legal or quasi-legal (depending on your useage of them and your location) psychedelic chemicals that you can buy online (including in the sidebar ad to the left at the top of the page) like the 2C series.

What was your source of LSA?

It is actually practically impossible to fall asleep on Woodrose. And the trip peaks at four hours and lasts about eight. You are right that there can be nausea with it, though, and that I don't know how my dad would react.

Anybody taken a psychedelic with a relative? Unfortunately I probably won't manage to take LSD with my dad, so at least I wonder if anyone can share what it was like if they've taken it with somebody and had an intimate trip.

You know... something that changed a relationship you had with someone.

    Morning glory.

I've had a few times when I started out being tired and they just knocked me out. And one higher dose was rather psychedelic, I got minor LSD style visuals, but projectile vomited (I'd extracted for a lot longer, 2 days instead of 2 hours, and the water was basically caustic) and had a hard time staying awake, I ended up going to bed that time too, though I didn't fall asleep. But it wasen't like lieing down on LSD, it was like "holy fuck I'm tired".

I've also had times less happened, but most proper psychedelic experiences involved being fucking tired.

So you don't think your dad would research mushrooms with you, and embark on a growing/consuming project?

He's the office type. The very prospect would be beyond alien to him, and I think my mother would take it even worse if he had a psychedelic mushroom farm in the house. Especially if they're illegal - I'm not sure what the loopholes are.

I'll see if I can get my hands on anything locally though, and depending on what I find, it might be met with varying degrees of resistance on his part to trying them.

I probably will start on a Woodrose trip, and then that should open his eyes enough to make him willing to try something else.

I dunno about this one, I think I have to disagree. Though the extent might differ from person to person. So far I've had hbwr on 3 separate occasions. The first two times were fine and great but the last was probably one of the distressing nights of my life, emotionally that is.

Also had a friend who recently tried them for the first time and ended up in a drug induced psychotic episode, where he punched someone in the face, was out of his mind running around naked, and ended up spending the night in hospital. That was a real shock reaction, but it happened. He doesn't remember any of it so it may not have been a bad trip as such, mentally, for him after, but certainly had some serious consequences to make the entire experience very bad.

Regarding the dad topic however, I agree :2thumbsup:

Wameron, those don't sound like USEFUL bad trips, if you know what I mean.

Maybe yours was, you didn't really say. But running around attacking people isn't a useful bad trip, especially if it can't be remembered.

What would you call a useful bad trip? I've had 2 or 3 on LSA and together they convinced me of the destructive power of my mind. I believe I was an inch from suicide while on one of those trips, and while I'll never know if I would have ever carried it through, it was a horrid experience I remember all too well. I now value and appreciate my sanity much more.

    Well dayum.

Sounds like it was useful, if I don't misinterperet what you say.

But I frankly couldn't get that out of LSA. It was an interesting time, maybe a "spiritual" feeling time, but I don't understand these psychotic breaks that some seem to have on it. It's just not like that to me. Compared to LSD it's a gentle experience on your mind, not such a gentle gastrointestinal experience but can be handled with a mindset of acceptance and being willing to purge if you need, etc.

Are you talking about HBWR? Because I'm talking about morning glory.

*edit* but recall, this guy is looking to get his dad to take this with him, his dad who's only ever had alcohol...... Unless you've seriously done some homework and are ready to be puking, etc, I don't think it's a good psychedelic to start with. Many people, to varying degrees, can't even fully understand what a psychedelic IS. I think it's good to have a breakthrough without feeling physically ill, if we're talking about someone who has no concept of this type of "drug" or thinking. It's really enough to deal with the experience and learn to enjoy it without also feeling like you've got the flu.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I didn't know if that's what you were implying at the start though. Mine for sure was, the other guy not at all. Not sure if it makes much difference, but these were HBWR aswell.

True. Feeling as ill as you do at the start, like as if you've been poisoned, then being sent into a completely unfamiliar experience that lasts for several hours would not be the most nicest of scenarios. That is unless you have an idea of what may happen.
