winter gatherings (besides ocala)

just wondering if there are any other winter gatherings comming up, most likely in southersn states? (i know alaska has had winter gatherings.. but turning blue & shivering isnt my idea of fun) i'm hoping to make ocala ..even if its been somewhat disapointing in the past..but i also heard rumors of 2 other southern gatherings..was it mississoippi & arizona? i forget
anyways..let me kno & hopefuly i'll be seeing ya there

there are kids in ocala nf now - if you're in the loop you can find them. however, i do hear that all the squats from years past are closed to camping or converted to pay campsites, like lake mary and buck lake, to discourage the large number of people usually wintering over. i've only heard of low-key smaller kitchens being set up. i have also heard that key west has been kicking the hippies out too.

what florida family and friends fail to remember is there are lots of other forests in florida that may not be quite as burned out on tolerating (or hosting) our constitutionally supported annual migration of free-spirited hunter/gatherers and spiritual seekers.

lets think outside the box (or ocala). we've always been good at that.

what year did ocala start really going downlhill? i know during the 90's it wasstill pretty cool
i might still go this year, but if i can find another warm 1 to get to mid winter, i wouldnt mind skipping ocala
but ya never know..i usualy dont know what i'm doin till i'm actualy doin it..

i dunno tho seems like more then just seein ya..did we do a sweat together in..ummm..shasta? or maybe silent tipi in taos? i dunno my memory is crazy..i mighve seen ya on the street yesterday but still remember ya from a gathering 12 years ago i'm not even sure i was at

 

There used to be a small Mississippi gather down near the coast, but I always thought it stopped happening. But people tell me it still goes on in January, and its only about 10 miles from my house!!

But I dont know exactly where to go, so if anyone knows some specifics on
Missinghippie gather in Desoto forest, let me know.
