The storm was uninvited but entered like a thief at night

You were welcome in all our hearts like an angel bringing light

But we only had you to borrow

When you left you only brought sorrow

It was a quiet hour as your soul lifted from the ground

Winter remained as you took flight without a sound

How I yearned to hear that last goodbye

You just lay there whilst your soul with your body untie

For a moment the sun shone a pale light

We held our breaths as your face went a gruesome white

It must have been the angel’s wing closing your eyes

He must have mistaken you for another without realize

    Winter came too soon

Winter intruded in the month of June
