windows. passwording folders

anyway to make a certain folder only opanble when a password is entered? like say u double click and a table pops up asking for one? obviously ppl know what for just dont want ppl stumbling on my love shack by accident when looking for songs

 

hmm.. i remember a program called Magic Folders.. which would hide folders/files with a password.. dunno if its still around

You should just make your folders hidden.

Unless you use the same edition of windows as me where all folders are shown)

If you want to hide your shit, do this:

download a zipping program like winrar zip up everything and add a password to it, then take off the extension and remember it.

If you want to be even more causious, zip up your zipped file with another extension.

i use to use magic folders on my parents computer to hide my virus collection... i had over a 1000 virii/trojans/worms/binders and such.. one day i forgot to do the magic folders thing.. and my mom ran a virus scan.. and was like "what the fuck" lol

 

joker why would u keep viruses? were they like created by you or like hybernating or something?

 

i'm a nerd... lol.. just a collection i had.. none of them were ran.. some were public releases.. some were custom made and undetectable... i use to have my HS's PC lab completely infected with an undetectable Sub7 server.. so when i was not in class.. or home sick.. i could fuck with the computers at the school.. it was fun to fuck with the teachers computer while he had his computer on the projector.. popping up random message boxes and porn sites.. lol.. I also use to scan IP ranges all day long for old unpassworded trojans and reinfect with my own.. if i stubbled upon a pedo.. i would usually dump about 20 or so different virii on him

 

just make folders invisible, although they wont be invisible to searches etc.

right click on a folder, and check the box 'invisible'

then open a folder, in the top bar hit 'tools' then 'folder options' then 'view' and make sure invisible folders are not visible

 

My brother used to have a virus collections also...

 

I remember, back when I was booting Windows 2000, if you were to right click on the folder and go into 'Properties' and search around on there and it would say something about password protecting.

Best application for windows period. It creates a partition basically that you can just drop whatever you want in (folders, filers, music, porn, whatever). Trust me, you have to be japanese to break the encryption.

i just put my porn in a folder that's stored where people aren't likely to stumble across. of course, everyone that uses my computer knows i'm a pervert so there wouldn't be any big surprises if someone did see it
