what a fucking awesome song, and album all around. possibly one of the greatest guitar solos ever. it goes on for 7 minutes and never once repeats itself. Frank Zappa was a freaking improvisational genius.
One of my favourite Zappa songs, form my favourite Zappa album! Glad to see he's getting recognition he deserves. Oh by the way, does Captain Beefheart do lead vocals on this song?
Where does it state that he sung lead vocals on this track? You said he features on it, but I'm sure you know he does more than just singing.
well if you listen to the song, the lead vocals are obvious....... no one else sings like that. I said he was featured, I assumed everyone would figure out he was singing lead from the unique vocals.
I have to say that i prefer the solo in "the muffin man" And, i have to disagree with hot rats being the best album, as its either overnite sensation or bongo fury for me.
I'd say Howlin' Wolf wasn't far off, although I concede he's not likely to feature on a Zappa track. But whatever, point taken- I'll look it up next time.
