My boyfriend Thom and I just moved to Colorado from NY. When we arrived we had a place to stay, but a very mean woman didn't want us to live there anymore & we're not sure why. I joined this forum because I thought maybe someone could be able to help us. We are homeless. We are fun and friendly people. We have a little dog and a cat and a rat that we love very much. We don't want to have to give them away but I am afraid that it will happen if we don't find a place to go soon. We came here to start anew, to get our things in order, and to start our new life together. We have been together for almost a year and I expect that to change never. We are very laid back. We are willing to work for rent. I can do housechores and take care of children. He is handy. We are willing to help with just about anything. He has a job in Longmont so we would like to stay somewhat close to that, although right now living quarters are the most important thing. I do not currently work because I have to replace my social security card, a process which will begin tomorrow morning. Tonight is the last night we have to stay anywhere, in this motel in Longmont. We're quiet and we keep to ourselves, but are sociable if it is encouraged. Our luck has been more than hard this past year, we're just looking for a second chance. If you can help us, please let me know. Even if you just have an idea, please let me know. Also, we don't want to go to the shelter. We were turned away once for missing intake and it's just a very somber place. I don't want to be sad anymore, so we're trying to avoid it.
