whys rap good?

as elogantly as you can, tell me why rap is so great.

 

It allows someone with no talent, education, imagination or creativity to swear over a metronome, use racist epithets and demeaning language against gays and women to make a ludicrous amount of money before being shot dead.

 

Rap can be groovin' sometimes. Like you sit there and all of a sudden you find yourself moving to the music enthralled by the beat. Of course if you want to groove it's better to put on a parliament record.

 

Why not listen to the original song, rather than the ripped off version?

 

Not all rap is like that, and in almost every case they're not being serious anyway.

it alllows preppy depressed white boys with no talent scream and yell their crappy "Im so Lonely" poetry with their band "Shit stain" at the top of their lungs to all the other depressed "oh my god im a loner" fans, while being a "Rebel" and a "Rocker" as they play their concerts backed by corporate sponsorships that use the bands popularity to sell T-shirts slogans, cell phones, cars, and any other shit they can sell with their name on it all the way from "Shit stain" tampons to "Shit stain" Medical Enema's all before their hype is wiped out in about a month or two when "The Lonely Dicks" realease their new album.

Since Im a HipHop fan , Ill tell u why RAP is good , knowing that Rap is a part of the HipHop culture which have 9 elements .

First of all , if u want to take Rappin as what you are seeing on MTV , BET or VH1 , its better not to continue reading my comment , because my comment excludes all the fake rappers that u see on these tv stations.

Rappin was never based on what eminem or 50cent or gay unit or other mainstream rappers are showing u , such rappers are into rapping just to get money , they dont have passion for what they represent , and I dont know if u heard it , lately Eminem is going to sew a company that is making his songs as ringtones for phones...Everyone knows about the copyrights , but why must u stop them when they are promoting you , Chuck-D from public enemy , and KRS-ONE supported spreading albums through the net so the people can download them for free , because that helps the MC A.K.A the rapper to get more known to the people , knowing that Chuck-D & KRS-ONE dont need to be knows because they were down with the ones who created HipHop.

Now-a-days you have to make sense in what your saying in your song , so the older peeps in HipHop can respect you and respect your music .There's alot of difference between " Manhattan keeps on making it , Brooklyn Keeps on takin it , Bronx keep creating it and Queens keeps on faking it " AND " Yo Loyd bring the condoms im in room 611 " ... Thats the difference between the REAL & FAKE HipHop.

watching even Fuse for 10 minutes will show you that screamo and wannabe thug shit are not the only genres of music being made today. stupid "hippie"

And if you'd asked my opinion of them, I'd have said something just as critical. However, the essential difference is, the crappy rock bands still have a rough idea how to play an instrument, whereas your average rap artist couldn't figure out how to play a simple power chord after a month of training. Obviously there are guys like the Beastie Boys who are musicians who rap. There's maybe FIVE of them on earth, including the three Beasties.

dont try that crap. i wasent sheltered. i have spent 5 years of my life in the worst east london comprehensive shit hole, and a not much better college hearing nuthin but rap, seeing nuthin but rap!

i have lived with it for so long i find myself recognising the names and songs when we go to the pub at college lunchtimes. maybe its all the crap in life that made me like simon and garfunkel and ppl like that so much and made me start writing songs or made me want to be diffferent.

Um, all of you guys (especially that real class act, IronGoth) know there is hip-hop that's not played on the radio, right? it's like youse guys put on the radio once, heard some shitty corporate rap music, and decided to dismiss the entire genre. Imagine if someone heard a single Sum 41 and judged all rock music accordingly. There's good and bad in hip-hop, just like every other genre of music.
