Hi guys, animals are just an entreteinment for people,we use it for food, clothing and experimentation but they aren't ours,so we don't have the rights to do that.I've become a vegetarian because animals DO feel pain, they have a nervous sistem like we have, they are LIVING BEINGS ,they deseve to live like every human of this planet. If you want to learn more check out this links:

Animals eat animals - I have no problem with that.
I'd be a hypocrite if I opposed animal testing.
    Peta can go f*** themselves.

I've been a veggie for over a decade.

    I miss bacon.

Jo King well actually I do respect life, and more than you, because killing an innocent animal just to eat it ,it's taking a life away, animals aren't ''made'' for us.

I don't feel you have respect for the plants you are eating and the cruel way the are raised. If you think about the way a sprout is grown its the same way as veal.

Unlike you I am thankful for everything that give up its life for me.

Jo King ,dude the plants don't have a nervous sistem so they don't feel pain, you can't compare a lettuce with a cow :S.
And they don't give up their lifes for you, they're killed,is not like they ask a pig or cow ''hey would you die for Jo King so he can eat your meat?''
Look I don't want to offense u,coz u have your own opinion and all that bullshit ,but cmon, really???

I didn't become a vegeterian because of 'animal rights'.
I became one because my parents stopped eating meat (reason: BSE).
So I thought I'd join them...
I never went back. Too stubborn.
I'm not overly keen on PETA methods or ideology - I think they are a bunch of fascists (but that's another story)
I don't want animals to be treated any worse than they have to be...
Have you refused drugs/treatment that has come from animal research?
I know it's difficult because nearly everything does have to be tested on animals/or was once upon a time.
I'm not going refuse treatment due to animal testing.
We are animals. We eat animals. Other animals eat other animals. Some animals eat us.

I respect your opinion bout PETA and your reasons to become vegetarian, but do you really think that animals should be treated bad ?? (''animals to be treated any worse than they have to be..'') i mean,i don't want to hurt any living beeing i don't see the point in killing for food.
And about the treatments, I only have homemade treatments (with a little pot everythings works good =).)
Animals eat other animals right,it's in their nature, but we ARE NOT animals,we don't need to eat animals to survive.

    Thanks.

I don't want them crammed into cages with barely an inch to move.
    I don't want a machine that mechanically kills 30 chickens a minute.
I don't want animals to have their skins peeled off while they are still alive
    ...etc etc etc.

Not to be patronising, but you are only 16-17.
Most people your age don't need any medical care. Be thankful.
Wait till you get to 36 - see how you feel then.

The word "animal" comes from the Latin word animalis, meaning "having breath". In everyday colloquial usage, the word often refers to non-human members of kingdom Animalia. Sometimes, only closer relatives of humans such as mammals and other vertebrates are meant in colloquial use. The biological definition of the word refers to all members of the kingdom Animalia, encompassing creatures as diverse as sponges, jellyfish, insects and humans

Our bodies are designed to process meat.
Evidently we can live with out eating meat.
We have the luxury of choice.

    Why become a vegetarian?
Health and to remove yourself from the madness as much as possible.

I wish you could open your mind, again I feel sorry for you.
Plants are a living breathing creature. Just because they don't react the way you want them to when there life is taken doesn't mean there death is meaningless.

What's really funny about your willingness to argue with me over this is, if we were sitting on my beach on my reservation and I told you the same thing in our creation story. Chances are you would be talking about how beautiful life is.
