Marijuana has been used for hundreds of years, millions upon millions of people use it recreationally and medicinally. After such a long time, why isn't there any concrete proof of its short and long-term medical effects on the users? :sunny:
Here's why: 99 percent of all scientific studies are funded by companies that exist to make money. Anyone, ANYONE, can put a seed in dirt and grow a plant. Pfizer, Merck and Co, and Novartis cannot profit from it, so there will be no "mainstream", "respectable", studies on the medicinal properties of marijuana. This is also the reason it remains illegal. Illicit drugs serve as a commodity and currency for U.S. imperial activities. If it was legalized, everyone could (and likely would) grow it. Organized Crime Syndicates/cartels would become quickly marginalized and bankrupt & The U.S. would lose much of it's influence over South America (via the drug cartels and thus South American governments) and the U.S. would see a significant decline in it's number #1 export - Arms. Think about this. Do you know anyone who knows how to make their own wax, from scratch? Like for candles? I'm not talking about candle making, I'm talking about making actual wax from raw ingredients. Here's a challenge: go online and see if you can find a single example of a step-by-step, DIY method for making paraffinn candle wax.
