i could never figure this one. also, why do the lights go out during a storm. i always wondered if it was caused by the storm itself (tree falling on power lines) or by the power company, purposefully shutting down power so damaged lines can be fixed
electricity travels in waves through power lines and force fields from a lightning strike can cause fluctuations in the flow of those waves through the power lines
There's a HUGE storm right now where I am... kinda scary... but if it keeps raining, I'll sleep well tonight. The sound of rain is so relaxing...
by the way, do you mean "transformers" and not "radiators"? if lightning hit the radiotor in your house, you would see more than the lights flicker?
Cause if it hits you its like having a few million volts of electricty go through you i guess... Although I most deffently agree with you, lightning is beautiful
it is only scary because of the prospect of it hitting a tree that can fall and crush my house and kill me or my family. other than that, its just the random, extremely loud CRACK that shakes you soul to its core, that no amount of rationality can prevent you from being scared of
i've been within 6 ft of a lightning strike twice in my life, within 20 ft several other times. that's enough to make me think it's out to get me. call me superstitious, but i'm gonna hedge my bets. it's probalby all that porn and casual sex, god's mad at me.
