I really want to learn how to play. Iv seen some people at the guitar shop here who are just godly on the guitar and it amazes me. Always wanted to play since I was a kid just never went out and got one. I'm about to quit my job and finish up on school this next year so ill have more time for it. are you any good?
Pavel plays! I have a guitar, but that doesn't mean shit. I know how to play parts of three songs and that's it. My fingers are clumsy.
I used to play when I was a kid. I was really good at one point, but I got bored with it. I haven't touched my old guitar in 11 years.
i have a fender strat and a takamine. I have bad history with guitar teachers though. Ive gone through a few.So im now self taught :H If you hold a guitar and pretend to know what youre doing, you'll get a lot more ass.
I had a problem with my guitar teacher, too. Seeing as I had a mad crush on him, then fell in love with him, and our classes usually ended up with the guitars on the floor and us attached at the mouth for the rest of the time...
haha I was in love with my guitar teacher too....but I was only 8 when I first started taking lessons. Oh and Ramona practice would help with the clumsy fingers.
haha, same here. I wasnt gonna pay my guitar teacher to see me naked. extra cash and hot guys with guitars. Perfect situation until he screws you over. I'm done with guitar teachers.
Ramona I think you were there for the make-out lessons not the guitar lessons. haha thats funny though. The only instrument I can play alright is the piano. I play some good air guitar too
i can play Mary Had a Little Lamb, that's about it. My dad taught me when i was a kid, he is badass on the guitar.
Yeah... yet I don't claim to be good at it. I can play it fine, but I don't have the natural knack for it that separates the enthusiats from the pros. I'm much more of a natural at the piano... I don't know any piano song by memory, but I can improvise like crazy.
I can't read music to save my soul. But let me tell ya something-someone starts up with a riff of something or other, words will fly outta my mouth quicker than I think of them. I love singing.
I cant play anything. And I cant sing. My music teacher said I was a music invalid. And now I cant even look at an instrument.
I have taught people I think since 1970's but girl-student only one, and she was lesbian. I began in 1968, by myself, and all I needed after learning my chords was a songbook, which I purchased the same year 68, and before long I was in the village looking for other guitar people. Before leaving to NYC, I met two other musicians which I took with me on a quest for hippy-land, adventure and music. After almost forty years you'd think I'd grown bored of it, but it's the opposite, now I'm making a cd almost everyday of stuff I improvise with long solos, using a loop pedal to record background first. It also get me money, since I do this in public.
