They make "special nug jars", but you could use anything that's air tight. You can find jars usually at the super market or some hardware stores, all else falls, just wash out an old mayonaise jar or something real good and use that. If you keep your buds in an air tight container and in a cool dry place they should last real plenty long enough.

Everytime I get some really tasty bud, I always put aside a little nug or two and throw them into a few nug jars I have. I've got some NYC Deisel from I'd guess over a year ago, and it still looks and smells just as potent as the day I got it. Speakin' of which, I'm gonna go smoke it.

back to topic: it all depends on storage- if u keep it on the floor for a year obviously it wouldnt be as quality- keep it airtight and in a cool place and it will last forever almost. just put it in a jar/sandwich bag and stick in the freezer. make sure the weed is proper dry though- since mould will make short work of it

 

do NOT put it in the freezer. It degrades the quality of the weed.

 

That's my favourite strain. It's soooo good. I'm all out. But now I've got some Sour Diesel instead which is amazing also.

Yes you are supposed to keep it in a cool dry dark to preserve long term quality. However, a freezer is a COLD place. If you freeze weed the tiny cells expand and then explode. Cool place, yes, Frozen environment, no.
