A lot of people say that. Is she worth reading at all other than just to see how much of an asshole she is?
its actually worth it if you finish reading it.... but few actually do just that so i think it weeds out the impatients or the morons or something. but i've never met someone who has finished it so i never considered anyone a better authority on the book than I. not that if you dont finish you're a moron, cuz it is really boring for the first three to four hundred pages. a good airplane read if you've got a few 6 hour flights, train rides, bus trips all strung together.
funny to see this...ive been reading it for about two-three months...almost halfway through...its hard to keep going with when constantly bogged down with school and the end seems so far off....but I like it, which I find unusual...its changed my opinions on some subjects, which I never thought would happen
I enjoyed The Fountainhead quite a bit, so I figured I'd try out Atlas. I don't really find that it's terribly boring. But it's a philosophical thing, really; if you're reading for a story or for believable characters, you might become bored. In her books, every person represents an ideal; or more correctly, half the people represent one ideal, and half represent the opposite. The characters can seem a bit flat.
