i'm sure this thread has been done before, but i'm trying to entertain myself here. how many? i have 3 tatts: a small pentacle on my left inside ankle, a satyr playing a flute & sitting on some smiling fly agaric mushrooms (i hate to admit it, but that one was flash) on my left bicep, and a sihouette of a cat carrying a little red devil on my upper inside forearm. the latter was from a piece of vintage clip art, from a version of puss-in-boots. i totally love my tattoos, and want more. the next will probably be the head of cthulhu, cradled in a slime-dripping crescent moon, either on my right bicep or lower back. that one's going to be pricey. i have 2 holes pierced in each earlobe, a nosering in my right nostril, and a beaded silver ring in my right eyebrow.
I used to have to earrings in my left ear lobe but I would always lose them so I just let them close up. I have a spider tattoo on my right arm.
...I have a deady bear tattoo on my right ankle that I got a looong long time ago, a moon and two stars on my left wrist...and I got a nose ring down in the keys last summer. YAY!
my left ear is pierced 5 times, my right 2 times. i have my nose pierced on the left side, and my navel is pierced. i have a butterfly tat on my right shoulder blade, and a large butterfly tat on my lower back.
dont' have any tattoos yet, but i am planning on getting one this summer once i figure out what i want. my friend is gonna help me design it though.
0 tattoos and 0 piercings. And that's the way it's going to stay. That kind of stuff just isn't my thing. If millions of other people didn't have tattoos and piercings, then I might consider it. I probably wouldn't, though, because I think it all looks kind of tacky to a pretty large degree (no offense to people who have tattoos and piercings).
My ears have about 3 holes, but I rarely wear earrings anymore. My bellybutton is pierced. No tattoos though.
Rat that is pretty pathetic and unexpected of you. You would not get a piercing or tattoo just because millions of other people have it? Since when do you care about that, I take it you do wear clothes? Anyway, I have my eyebrow pierced and I have no tattoos.
I got my tattoo last June. It's a sunshine with a face in the middle, it's on my upper right arm. I used to sing a silly song "You are my sunshine" to my ex-boyfriend's little girl every morning and when she was learning how to talk a little better, she named me Sunshine. So the tattoo is sorta like having my name on my arm. I got my ears pierced for my 18th birthday the first time and got the second holes in both ears January 2003. I go months without wearing any earrings though.
No peircings since highschool... but I do have a tatoo of a half moon surrounded by 3 stars on my right shoulder blade...
I used to have my right eyebrow pierced and wear a lot of earrings when I was younger. I'm considering (only considering) getting my lip pierced. I've got two tattoos and I'm getting another one soon.
I have a couple of tattoos and a few empty holes in my left ear. Have not worn a earing in a very looooong time. I want a couple more tattoos. I know what I want for one of them, but I am still thinking about what I want for the other. ~namaste~
Well, Bird, it just seems awfully trendy at the moment for people to run out and get their body marked up in some way or another. I just can't see any point in it. First of all, I don't like the way it looks, which is a matter of personal opinion that cannot be argued. Secondly, if people are doing this to somehow "express" themselves, how exactly are they doing this when millions of other people have similar things done to them? To me, it's really nothing more than a cliche. But at the same time I am not going to put people down for doing what THEY like. However, if such a question is asked regarding the matter, I am going to say how I feel about it whether people agree with me or not. This might sound weird to you, but I do not believe in expression through outward appearances, because there is only so much outward appearances can convey about a person. I am much more content on expressing myself though words and actions than through a piece of metal sticking out my nose or ink drilled into my skin.
