I got whipped by my parents and also paddled at school...OUCH!

I concur. I wasn't whipped/spanked as a kid, either. I hate seeing black mamas publicly hitting their kids in the grocery store of the cereal aisle, for instance. I just want to walk up and save the kid from public humiliation.

Race has very little to do with beating kids.

I also believe that there is a BIG difference between slapping your kid and beating them.
