    This is driving me mad.
I backcombed 3 months ago and somehow thought I was supposed to re-backcomb every so often for the first while. This is probably because my hair just falls right out of anything, it's slicker than teflon. I got the answer to that- don't re-backcomb.
As you see from the picture, after 3 months it has mostly fallen out, some areas still holding together. I am tempted to re-backcomb the areas that have completely fallen out, but I noticed if I grasp chunks and palm roll they find their way back for a while.
So from here, maybe just palm roll a bit everyday? One last attempt to backcomb some of these bitches?
    Or leave it be?

    Thanks guys.

My hair was the same way. I just left it alone. Look at my album if you'd like to see the progress.

Thanks, I will keep my fidgety hands away from my hair.
I'm washing with baking soda, which I really like.

I would suggest trying bronners. Lathering mixes things up and can help kick off new dreads, and bronners increases the friction of most peoples hair, which will help lots.

i had the exact same thing happen to me. backcombed my entire head and within a week or two they all fell out. just be patient and it will knot up on its own.
