when is the best time

to call a girl after she gives you her number??

I know it isnt good to call the next day, because she would think you are desperate....... and it isnt good to wait a week, or two, because that might turn her off too........

so I usually guess that 3-4 days after she gives you her phone number that is good time to give her a call.....

am I correct?

after a week i'd figure he didn't give a shit about me. when you're really interested, you want to call the next day, right? why wait a week? hell, call the next day if you really want to get the message across... it doesn't have to be creepy at all. ah, romance.

ok and another question, when you personally give a dude your phone number, do you do that just to be nice, or is there a good reason that you like the person before you give out your digits?

sometimes i do it just to be nice. which is horrible, but i'm a pushover and sometimes i just want to get the hell out of the situation.

oh, and calling the next day....

see, this is the problem with romance nowadays! why can't it be passionate? call the next day if you want to! take the risk and really put yourself on the line! there aren't rules in love, you just do as you feel. so.. if you're sitting there with her number scrawled on a napkin beside you wondering what to do... it's really up to you. maybe she's sitting at home right now too, twiddling her thumbs and thinking about how long it's going to take for you to call her back.

 

i give out my number if i like them its not to be just nice i dont think any girl does that. why give out your number to someone your not interested in and i say the day after or two days you wait any longer they may think your not really into them.

okay, now i feel like an ass. in some situations i've felt so harassed by a guy who's generally sweet and means well, but whom i'm not at all interested in 'like that'... well, after awhile i just give, and give my number. usually when they call i'll talk nicely for awhile then give my pre-thought-out excuse (ie. overseas boyfriend, fatal disease, etc.) haha..

anyhow, this was generally the past me, and now i've grown up much from that mindset. i've become a lot more honest, and a lot less consumed with making other people happy first.

naw, that's what i was saying about before... guys nowadays are really worried about looking crazy or pathetic, it's hard to find a really passionate guy who paints his affection in big letters and bows.

 

ok, so you are saying if a guy constantly hounds you for your number, you give it to him? just to get him off your back?

well, see I think it depends on the girl..... because ohh about a year ago or so I did things like that..... like send flowers and stuff, and the girls didnt like it at all..... so I dont do anything romantic like that.

oh, that would be interested. the guy i was describing above would have first gone through my first line of defense: me pretending not to hear the question, me not being able to find a pen (sorry!), me having a terrible memory and forgetting my own number..........
