When did men start to expect

A shaved vagina? It's so retarded when you think about it.
"I'll go through a unpleasant and typically painful process so I can look like a prepubesant girl because a man or society find pubic hair unnacceptable."

I know some women prefer a smooth hairless body and thats fine. But many girls do it because it's expected of them, this freakish new trend.

 

I've never expected it nor been a fan of it actually, either way its not that big of a deal to me. If a girl wants to shave because its her preference, I'm not going to object as its her body - but being completely hairless down there seems unnatural to me.

 

It's really wierd, I cant get over it.

Why shouldn't I have hair down there. I'm not a child, I've earned these.
I am a woman now.

 

Personally I hate body hair lol so yah I'm a shaver. BUT I don't think a woman should do it because it's "expected" of her...if she wants to (like I do) then no problem. But if she's doing it (or anything else for that matter) because she thinks she has to in order to keep him, then that's uncool.

 

Guys never expected women to shave, well decent ones anyway. The media portrays a clean shaven private area as sexy, and "the thing to do". So women just go along with it, expecting all men to want it. I for one HATE it. Hair makes you look distinguished and mature. Clean shaven just looks so "out of place" if you will. I actually find it kind of a turn off, but thats just me.

Some women just prefer it, like Super_Grrl.

 

i think guys want it trimmed so they can see the goods not just hair and to avoid getting hair in the teeth.

 

well, I do it because I think it looks better (I don't shave everythign either, just by the labia, still leave a patch on top so it's obvious I've hit puberty). I do prefer guys shaved though, and have asked one of my two partners to try shaving once. Much less scratchy with both parties shaved.

 

Trimmed is good. There is just something unsettleing about a clean shaven vagina. Why would he want to have sex with a little girl?

i think your rollin with the wrong guys. i dont think most guys expect that. it might be nice, i dunno, but the only thing i expect from a woman . .. well i guess ive learned not to expect anything

 

My ex said something like "I hate when girls have hair down there when we were watching a movie with nudity and a girl had a "landing strip" lol. I just ignored him. We hadnt done anything like that. But I wasnt going to after he said that. I trim and sometimes shave, but I hate stubble, and I would never shave it all or Id feel like a pre-pubescent porn star.

I dont get why people today are so ashamed of being mammals.

 

I disagree with ya ihmurria, I've been with a shaved guy and it was so goddamn scrtachy and it gave me a sorta shaving rash from all the prickles and friction

 

*shrug* both shaved felt better than just me shaved with that guy, just my experience is all.

 

Please don't knock it before you try it. I perfer a woman that is shavn down there. It so much smoother and my girl likes it too. There is a technique to shaving it so its not all prickly, or getting a better razor. I did encounter a shaved and unshaven vagina. I would really have to go with shaven. I really think its unattractive and less convienent. Yes you can move it to the side. Its just one less thing you have to worry about. I personally shave down there also. Once you shave it for a period of time the itch goes away and the in grown hairs slowly dissapear because you learn which way and not the way to shave. But i would put all my marbles on shaven. Women have a beautiful thing and it doesn't need to be hidden. And men don't be afraid to shave either. Have fun doing what you do.

 

I'm kind of in a weird position because I prefer shaving because it feels better to me but my boyfriend prefers natural. He lets me do whatever I want and doesn't make a big deal out of it, however.

It's really just preferance...I'm going to shave regardless of whether or not my partner approves. That's just me and what I find appealing, and no man is going to change my habits.

Perfect. I mean, it's your body, right?? Personally I actually *cleaner* when my labia is shaved, especially with my period. No, I'm not saying girls who don't shave are dirty, I'm just saying that I personally feel cleaner. And yes (I forget who said it) there is a knack involved, and eventually you figure out how to do it so that it's not prickly, but really really smooth. There's also other options, of course, like Nair - that stuff's not too bad.

 

I smell bad often.
