Indeed... I've met violent anarchists, violent communists, never violent hippies. Violent hippies we're made up by society to spread fear about hippies.
Well, I'm a hippie and although I love peace, I won't take any **** either. And I'll fight if necessary, but Im not heavy about stuff. Just chilled
what are you talking about you can be a violent hippie, im a hippie and i get in fights all the time. Im all about peace and love, but eventually the only way to solve the problem is with some stops or an rnc.
i agree. i think this would be a great discussion in another area of hf. i stand behind my opinion that someone who regularly practices violence as a means to the end of an argument would not be considered a hippie in the slightest. fighting, imho, is a very childish act.
i don't think myself as a hippie nor as a punk (I have a dreaded mowhank)... as for ideology I'd consider myself much more as a socialist/liberal (not liberal in the sense of american politics, as in left wing, more like liberal in the the meaning of opposition to tradicions and social dogmas). I indeed indentify myself with lots of ideas and aesthetics from the lisergic culture, rasta culture, hippie culture, buddhism, etc... but not enough for considering myself as a part of any of them. My dreads have to me a meaning more in the field of taking a step towards subvesion and "natural life" then as in an ideology/religion/creed.
meh i got smacked in the jaw by a chav a coupla months ago, just stood there with my hands in my pockets and watched what hed do next. he backed off lol
