OBVIOUSLY, it's a tie between many... Guess I'll throw out a few options and see what errbody thinks. Don't get mad, but I'll only put a few main ones on the poll. If you decide Other, post your fave! I think it'd be cool to look up a few new ones to my musical vocabulary.

Anyways, here goes... Feel free to post links or vids! Open to votes and suggestions.

Yeah there are soo many not listed that I can only vote "Other".

I am not the biggest follower of psychedelic bands, but I'd at least toss in these two (and take off Bob Marley, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Allman Brothers Band):

    It's a Beautiful Day
    Hawkwind
    Pink Floyd (earlier material)

And, yes of course, Iron Butterfly.

Lords of Acid are good - but besides the name I am not sure I'd call them "psychedelic" (though they are great to listen to when high - but are many bands and tunes)

Those bands are in "regular rotation" on my mp3 playlist. :)

My bad, I kind of screwed this whole post up lol. I just got tired of trying to wrap my head around it and just posted it. I typed some extra stuff to clarify last night but I clicked the wrong button, tried to go back and fix it... I dub this post FAILED! LOL, but at least I tried... I'll post a Revised What's Your Fave Band later on. heh, I threw bob marley in there just because a lot of smokers in the audience and chill vibes. idk, and the multiple choice thing kind of screwed it up too... Thanks for the votes tho! I'll try to make it more complete next time. Maybe a Fave Well Known 60-70's Band poll?

(I quickly realized that I would choose every band listed... DOH!)

Dude, "PSYCHEDELIC" means so many different things to different people. NONE of the bands you listed strike me as what I think of as psychedelic, except most likely The Beatles.
