What's Happening???

There's a lot of similar words in German and English. If you break it down to solo words it is still understandable though. You could say Das ist gut, ja? And say it out. This is good, yes? But it's just easier to say "Sehr gut, ja?" but that word Sehr, isn't really close to anything in English, so it's not used but it encumbers less syllables and time and effort to say lol.

Of course at times it works the opposite way too and end up ranting on a sentence to say something you could have said in English with a simple sentence.

Its some give and take.

I like native amarican but do not understand any I just like the way it sounds. And on dances with wolves they could say a whole paragraph in like 7 very slowly spoke out calm words. I remember the subtitles were a novel in comparison to what they were saying.

I may or may not have turned on some people to MDMA but I feel I'm too old (out of the loop) to search for all the underground raves, not too keen on travelling for tons of festivals and too introverted for the socialite types. Like I wouldn't mind being a part of all those scenes to an extent, just the frequency of it would likely be minimal.

So me adjusting and improving my mechanics of my pool stroke has enable me to have a week off practice and come back without that steep learning curve.

A 90's night? I don't know how appealing that would be to me, I think I'd probably seek out a rave instead if there was any kind of cover for 90s night, maybe I'd go with other people though. I like the organic aspect of raves, you get djs there who can spin whatever they're feeling rather than some cookie cutter formula.

 

I didn't think it would be very good either, I just went because that's where we were meeting up at our venue but the bands played a ton of nostalgic stuff. There were like 15 bands covering specific 90s bands. But not lame ass 90s pop or anything, it's a metal club but was more like nirvana and korn and bloodhound gang etc.

I never actually watched any of the bands, we just sat in the pool area shooting pool and getting drunkies and smoking a few J's and popping mdma. . Then out in the smokers areas I was just talking about dinoriders and shit like that lol.

I want to learn German, mostly because it's what I learned in school so the absolute basics, I am familiar with. We get a lot of German tourists at my work too though and It would be cool to not make them speak English.
