There should be books that can trace your surname at least to documented records of countries where they've landed on or migrated to.

I'm sure I've got relatives all around the world somewhere. =p

I've got too many cousins and aunts and uncles already hehe.

I have a big family too.

My kids' dad was an only child with his adopted parents so my kids have always wished they had cousins on his side.

My family came to Maryland in 1674 but no records exist before that, so it isn't known from exactly where we originate. My brother has even taken part in a genetic search for relatives worldwide, but no matches have been found. It's like we just appeared from nowhere.

    That is strange.

My sister did a DNA test recently and it matched us with 1300 cousins on ancestry.com lol, and traced us back to a community of settlers who came to NC in the 1700s

That's where I'm from (MD). My family is mostly from Germany. Fresh off the boat too. I know my dads parents came here from Germany. Not sure what year, but I wanna say the late 40s maybe 50s. My grandmother was in the Hitler youth. She had some fucked up stories. Her and my aunt did. A lot of my dads family still lives there.

    My damn ribs!!!!

Taking off my bra was a mistake. That was helping alot.

Hubby's like "Put it back on".

I'm like "I'm not moving to do anything".

This is ridiculous for them to keep feeling worse and worse.

    Hitler Youth, cool. :)
I'm the resident HF member who likes that sort of thing having lots of my family involved in those things too.

I'm not pro Nazi really at all, I like other cultures and religions etc. but I will defend my family for the things they didn't do, which is the shameful thing really because all they did was fight, nothing else people point fingers at.

So with growing up with their tales and journeys, I've a soft spot I guess, it's like a fascination of mine. >.<

Maybe get one of those sports bras Aeri? Or the compression ones will definitely help. :)

    Or a corset. :D

ran out of likes again :/

oh! no, i was going to say about the "same dump"-you're one of those people eh?! we had a neighbor tell us this. It's heartbreaking. We still separate though,...except I believe we dumped the old huge CRT tv that was left when we moved in here. :D

awe, sorry Aeri! and/or for your son. :/

Another German? Sweet! (idk. but I'm German too. I just embarrassingly outed myself earlier today :p ) I'm German blood, but not like German German. I'm just American. But some of my family has been trying to trace stuff down and have been there. I think we even have family out there, but nobody knows them. haha!

all this talk, I'm thinking of Irmi, so I tagged her too :)

oddly, this song has been in my head all night too (has some German in it-peter doherty kolly kibber). It'd be awesome to pick up some of the German language again. I started at a young age with a summer class, but Dad threw out all my notes and I forgot most. I was so pissed! Came back to it in "college" or university if you want to be more accurate IMO, (hehe) but never was regular about it. Ich liebe...the language tho. haha :p

Yeah. It's not fair to be judged when you had nothing to do with something, but just share blood or a geographical location. Soft spots are good. Love is good. :)

-you all still get notices when someone multiquotes? I hope so. don't think I've ever been part of a multiquote on here, and I can't recall if the other site gives notices. it's hardly used anyway.

    anyway...

I've got an ugly brown bruise on my breast from the fall last Thursday.

I don't know if the bad bruise on the top of my shin is ever going to show up. That's a big, deep bruise.

I only seen her cook under 5 times. Usually it was cold cuts/lunch meat.
I am just trying to lose weight. Don't need her pulling a Hansel and Gretel.
Besides I never told her exactly when I was coming so they weren't planned for a third person.
