I am considering going next year, or the next year. So far I really want to visit the 53rd state, Canada, but I also want to see all of the west coast with some side trips into Nevada and Arizona. Places like New Orleans interest me, as well as New York. Please give much information.
go to New York, San Francisco, Portland, Chicago, Seattle, Austin, Denver.. only large cosmopolitan cities. anyplace in America that is not a big city is horrible.
What about remote beautiful places? Cities get boring after a while. There are only too many cafes, museums, botanic gardens and irish pubs I can stand.
I do like remote scenic places and the country is full of them. I mostly meant that smaller cities and towns are generally tragic and depressing (for me). they validate every negative stereotype about America and Americans.
Forks, WA. Berkeley, CA. (okay, not small, but i like it so very much.) Boston, MA. (not small either. but it's lovely in the autumn).
I always hear good things about Berkley. I like the graduate (the book and movie) too, it is mostly set in Berkley no?
I enjoyed, New York City, San Francisco, Atlanta, Denver as far as cities go. The Badlands of South Dakota are impressive. So is the Grand Canyon.
Boston, MA ... Las Vegas, NV.... Chicago, IL .... Hollywood is dirty, but interesting,... what kind of sites do you want to see?
Grand Canyon is certainly something I want to see, although I am worried about the cost and the amount of tourists. I am also considering Zion NP in Utah and definitely some of the pacific crest trail. I looked at some sites on the Badlands and it looks like a really stunning place. Mostly I like big mountains, big lakes and rivers, tall majestic forests, and stunning but accessible desert scenery - none of which you can really see in my state.
for this, Colorado and Utah. which are next to each other. and I love Berkeley. it's a very attractive town.
colorado is gorgeous. we have alot of hills, lakes, and greenery here in missouri, but its not much to really visit. we have branson, whoo hooo.
Honestly, I'd stick to the West Coast and The South. Chicago is probably worth a visit. The only tolerable East Coast city is Boston.
