.... um, how about you just ask her out to coffee, and pay for the tea/coffee/whatever she gets? I know that personally, I don't want some guy feeling like he has to buy me stuff, especially before we even start dating, and I ain't a hippie, I just have a forum addiction.

I wouldn't Even buy her a flower if you live somewhere where you can pick her some.. When i first started dating my boyfriend.. He gave me all handpicked flowers... I was so happy with them.. Cause he took the time to get them for me.. Not the time or money to buy them .. You really shouldnt have to get her anything.. I agree with the rest.. take her out...
