I think Portuguese as spoken in Brazil is extremely beautiful, the words just seem to flow so well and its almost rhythmical. One of the reasons why I like brazilian music is because of the language. I think Spanish is very beautiful, of course this is a biased opinion since it's my native language. I dont think in all Spanish speaking countries it sounds beautiful, but whenever I've read poetry out loud in Spanish, to me, it sounds the way it's supposed to sound and I've never had that feeling when reading poetry in English, there's more of an empty feeling there, but again I know the emotional connection I have to Spanish, will never be the same as I have to English. In your opinion, what languages do you think are more beautiful? Not only because they sound pretty, but also because the word seems to fit its meaning and carry an emotion with it.
Italian and Portuguese most definitely. Its like they carry this melody...I dont know. But yeah, those two.
I really like the way Spanish (from Spain, preferably spoken with a thick accent) sounds. I also really like the way Italian flows. I can truly relate to reading poetry in Spanish compared to English... poetry in Spanish just sounds natural. Same thing happens with Russian, even though it's a little rough when spoken.
I think Tibetan and Bahasa Malay are very beautiful languages. I could just close my eyes and listen to it all day long.
That's how I feel about Portuguese. It's melodic and musical. I like Italian too, but it hasnt really made me feel the same thing.
I like japanese a lot. also, if you zone out really really hard to the point that you dont recognize english anymore, it sounds pretty cool.
I cant say I've really listened to this languages. Tibetan I might have, but without paying close attention.
Yeah Gaelic sounds really nice.. but written down it looks like someone bashing the keyboard with their head.
I'm going to be lame and say they all do, I mean, when I hear any language besides english, I think is sounds beautiful...
I like Spanish from Urugay quite a lot, it sounds very similar to Argentinian Spanish, but softer. I had a friend from Urugay, Martin. I loved how he talked.
it's only b/c you dont recognize them. that's what I meant when I was talking about zoning out. English is actually kinda nice sounding (to me)
I like all the romantic languages. French kinda melts my heart. I can speak a bit of spanish, but my accent sounds bad. I sound much like a Texan then ever before.
I used to like Portuguese until about 4 months ago. Now I'm surrounded by Brazilians I have learned to hate Portuguese(although I'm still trying to learn it). Italian, French and Spanish I likes
The romance languages, the languages that descend from Latin. Edit: Like Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, I cant remember what others.
