Suppose you were running for president...what would your stances on the issues be, and what campaign promises would you make? I would promise to outlaw abortion, end the war in Iraq so we can fight terrorists instead, privatize social security, socialize medicare, and provide more foreign aid.

12. Legalize gay marriage in all 50 states.
13. End corporate welfare.
14. Work for a constitutional amendment abolishing the electoral college, abolishing the natural-born citizen requirement, abolishing the residency requirement, and changing the minimum age for the presidency from 35 to 18.

1. Abolish the Income Tax for everybody, and implement the National Sales Tax. This plan makes too much sense, so I doubt it will ever actually happen. FairTax.org

9. End affirmative action. Employers should hire & pay people based on their talents & skills, not their color, race, or sex.

10. Require that all schools teach Fiscal Responsibilty & Personal Finance classes as a required part of the curriculum starting in junior high, and through all 4 years of high school. It's amazing how many people are completly ignorant when it comes to money, and is far more important in your daily life than almost anything they teach you in high school.

11. Privatize Social Security. The current system is going broke, and hurts the poor who can't afford to invest and contribute to an IRA or 401k on their own. Anybody who is relying on social security in its current form will be eating cat food and living a cardboard box when they retire unless they save and invest their money.

10. Leave Social Security the way it is (I'm surprised to see that one on people's list)! Privatizing Social Security is risky, plus it ensures that we get less because the financial institutions that handle it get a large chunk of our pie in the form of fees, etc. If they make profits, guess where that goes? If they lose money, guess who loses? They're gambling with our future folks, It's a win-win situation for the financiers, a lose-lose situation for the rest of us.

Eliminate tax loopholes that permit corporations to go offshore to avoid US taxes.

Credit card interest rates severely limited.

A "Manhattan Project" for alternative energy sources.

NASA completely demilitarized, and fully funded for a return to the moon and a manned mission to Mars.

Reduce the military to a purely defensive posture, and get all US troops behind US borders. Massive cuts to military spending can then be made to fund other initiatives.

10. Make sure education money for PUBLIC education equals or exceeds money spent of defense.

18. Institute that by 2020 at least 50% of the energy used in the country has to be nonfossil and nonNuclear.
19. Mothers who stay home and raise their children will be given a living wage, for doing the country a service.
20. Mothers who breastfeed will be given an extra stipend for extra service.
21. Adoptive parents will be given an extra stipend for service to the country and the world.
22. Social security benefits will be based on need. And not be privatized.
23. End to tax loopholes for the rich.

25. Churches who insist on getting involved in Political matters will lose their non profit status and be considered Poltical Action Groups.
26. Outlaw TV shows where people have to eat or swim in disgusting things for a prize or otherwise. Tax shows where people "compete" and backstab for things that don't matter.
