.....unless you are a kid you have no reason...and dont say keeping in touch cause if you have face book you also have an email address

I like reading those funny e card things, and the music my friends post. The quotes too are cool haha. Im not scared of the cia.

 

Im a kid & to keep up w/ folks ..& to tlk to my closes ones.. because I don't rly have a fone I can use..
I don't rly get on anymore but to check my msgs though , everyone has moved to twitter.
which i hate.
How you feel about fb is how i feel about twitter.

People use to have plenty of friends.. now people have plenty of "friends".. Friends use to be people you could trust in.. confide in.. have fun with.. memories.. now friends are just a number to rank your social status amongst your family and peers

 

I had a relative die last month who hadnt kept in touch with the family for decades.

We only found out cos the defacto had rang my cousins wife at work. She had her place of employment listed on her fb with a link to the employers page and a contact phone number.

There were at least a dozen closer relatives. Initially it was a mystery as to why she got the phone call. But I checked, every closer relative didnt have emails, phone number or work contact world viewable.

I think most people only have that stuff viewable to friends nowadays, you dont want any joe blow to know your email.

So I changed my opinion of fb slightly after that, and I'll hang on to it for that kind of reason at least.

Even though it will probably be superseeded by something else next decade

There are way too many people for me to keep in contact with that don't email. Facebook is the new email and that's that. Hopefully someday I'll just cut the ties in the first place....now I've walked myself into a wall....

cia openly admits to using fbook and that it has saved them thousands of man hours because now people just hand over every detail of their life publicly.....

...george bush would never have become president if there was facebook when he went to college...even he would likely agree with that...the most powerful man in the world politically became that way because of the shoddy evidence of his tom foolery..

.i believe the cia will be controlling many politicians etc with fbook evidence in twenty years...any one of you could run for office after college and fluke your way into a congress seat or what have you...it happens

 

twitter is great for famous people and there fans ...unfortunately twitter and fbook are now cnn and fox news main source of news stories...it is sad...i dont have a a fix or any answers

I usually don't pay attention to the drama of people statuses , but when I do.. It's hilarious .
But I'm mostly on there because my cell phone died last year & i have people I most inbox to.

 

Meh.. I drowned my phone.. lost all my numbers.. if they don't call me.. i guess there's no reason for me to have their number.. they don't wanna talk to me.. then I guess there's no reason to talk to them.. helps me slim down the growing list of numbers

 

Yea , I found out eventually who really wanted to talk to me , like who was truly a friend when my cell phone tragedy happened.

 

Some people who think they are totally anonymous on line aren't. They will drop a hint about who they are here and there around the internet, and even if they don't have a facebook acount, their friends or family do...before you know it, you've got names and pics and all kinds of stuff strung together that you never thought was out there.

 

That kinds sounds scary in the way you kinda put it..
