Time does happen. The numbers we give to time are arbitrary! We move forward, we must be moving through time. The sun rises and the sun sets and the stars align differently every day. Time is real. Our concepts of it are skewed!
Time is man/woman made. Time is the mind of all of us. Once we stop being on this planet, time will stop for all of us, becasue it will no longer be necessary. Time has been made to give an order to society, nothing else. But time is of our making, time does not exist.
Time is energie bundled into a dimension, like a track we're moving on (where consciousness is timeless). Time exists with or without concept, no matter if there are humans chasing it in order to have more on their hands. It's like is there a sound if nobody is around to hear it ? I think so.
The concept of time is perplexing. The entire universes life span could be nothing at all, but just an illusion. I like to think about the fly and how the average life span is within one day. In that one day of a fly's life, does it experience an entire life time? What if our life is happening within one day and we are also experiencing an entire life time? Every memory, idea, and feeling happening within this? Our perceptive of time is relative only to our own understanding, because if is self sufficient for us to use as mathematics, pretty much. A day can't be determined without time, and could just very well be an illusion.
Well time is a mental construct. The phenomena that inspires the mental construct is extension or creation, time being a measurement of movement. More accurately the phenomena could be called space/time. The perception that time proceeds in a linear fashion, that is from past to future is an illusion. The past as well as the future are artifacts of current emergence or emerging current. The past emerges by virtue of once being present and the future is the imagined probability of being in the moment. The current emerges concentrically as we both grow in and grow, time and space. We grow exponentially and the universe is speeding up as we do.
Isn't this akin to the 'If a tree fell in the woods and there was no-one to hear it,did it make a noise?' question? Entropy will continue, whether there's anyone there to watch it or not. Entropy isn't instantaneous, which is WHY it's called 'entropy'. So 'time' by WHATEVER name or explanation,is a continuing series of 'Now'. Put all those 'Now's together and you have a flick-book of instants. When those instants are flicked, they show a passage of events, even though each single captured instant was unmoving. So,a whole lot of 'Now's put together in a row and flicked show movement. That movement is 'time'. So 'time' equals a series of sequential instantaneous events. [Oh boy-I really don't know how to phrase what I'm trying to put across. I've started dribbling-I think I'll just go lie down for a sequence of instants]
All I know about time is that when I leave home without the dog....she is convinced that I am never coming home again. It does not matter if I am away for a few hours or just to take the trash out it is all the same to her. I have been gone for days.
If everybody just stopped believing in god would he/she just vanish? No friggin way you could prove this stuff. Time is circular. It waits for nobody.
Is time consciousness? or is consciousness in time or time in consciousness? Time can be interpreted as elapsed moments of a single present moment, like a river constantly flowing in one direction.. but each ripple unique in itself and can never be experienced the same way again. This is why I don't believe there is a separation. A mind is needed to create these divisions between the present, past and future thoughts, to become time- we are all time in itself.
